Kitchen fuel
« on: March 24, 2012, 06:35:45 pm »

It strikes me as odd, to make biscuits, stew and roasts, without fuel.

So I suggest the following change for kitchens:

- rename biscuits to snack or salad
- stew (prepare fine meal) requires 1 coal(/wood?) for fuel
- roast (prepare lavish meal) requires 1 coal(/wood) for fuel

- new workshop: magma kitchen. Stew and roast cooked here do not require fuel.

Because nothing says "dwarven cooking" like cooking your roast in choking sulfuric gases in an oven with only one temperature - "reduce everything to cinders"... Just like mom used to make!

Anyway, there's an old megathread that had this in it, among everything else harborpirate salvaged from every other cooking thread ever.

Semi-molten stonegrilled elf brain stew, yum!

I would guess because those aren't cooked.
