Well, despite the love I have for all the current Victoria 2 AARs, they all have one thing in common: they are set in our world of 1836. Now, that is a great time, mostly because it has the USA.

But I digress. I propose a different AAR. One where our world does not exist, because the timeline diverged on October 14, 1399. This, my friends, will be a world where France was destroyed, where Poland still does not exist, where Denmark, not Sweden, is the real power of Scandinavia. This, my friends, is a World DissimilAAR.

A WORLD DISIMILAAR

UPDATE: Save converted, we're ready to start!

We shall fight for french reunification as the Barroise! Once a small duchy on the Meuse river, home of Jeanne d'Arc, Bar has risen to become the most powerful kingdom in France. Now, on 1836, a new page in history begins. Empires will rise and fall. Governments will crumble. And maybe, just maybe, a nation will succeed.

Apart from England taking back Normandy and Denmark inheriting (I assume) Norway, it's not really all that different. Well, The Netherlands replaced Burgundy as a threat to the primary western powers. Lots of colonization, though, it should be interesting. Asia looks pretty similar.

The Knights of Rhodes require your assistance!

Sorry, maybe its two different shades of orange, but...

who is it that owns Japan, part of Australia, a good chuck of Northern America and all of Central America? If that's the Netherlands, they're well on their way to global superpower status, since they also own a chunk of India, a nation or two in Africa and a chunk of South America. (As well as starting to expand through Germany)

Taira is a Daimyo, for some odd reason. I am the Netherlands. Denmark conquered Norway: Scandinavia has been at war for centuries, with Sweden and Denmark battling over Norway. Other points of interest are Neapolitan India, Brandenburgian Somalia, and Genoa having their capital in Virginia.

UPDATE: 51 years left in EU3. I'm going to let some colonial nations rebel successfully so we have a much more lively game in the new world.

Sorry this is taking so long to start up, it's an absolute grind to finish just 40 years. Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Louisiana, Mexico, Haiti, and Peru have formed.
