They appear to be just what they say on their covers. A compilation of various spells for beginners, and then a compilation of various spells healers would find useful.

Sally takes the books to the Shopkeeper to check their prices - 50₵ for the Beginner's Books, and 125₵ for the Healer's Books. Quite a steep price, hopefully not everything relating to magic is this expensive.
