So, will one sock suffice their cloth requirements? Some mods use nakedness to reduce the fps burden, so it's important.

So all animals get trained via kennels now?

I thought the whole point of this was to remove invader clothes, not dwarf clothes.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

No.  They get embarrassed from the lack of shoes and the lack of a shirt, and very embarrassed from the lack of "covering" (legware?).  All three are separate.  Whether one sock satisfies footware, I don't know.

I have no idea how it works. I brought an animal trainer and some dogs but I could do "train war animal" in the kennel.

And my floating-fortess failed because I accidentally pierced the wall between my quarry/storehouse/temporary workhall and the sea.  ::)

Trying now elsewhere but a far less cool embark. May re-gen a world.

Do dwarves who are missing both feet get constant bad thoughts due to the lack of shoes?

It's save compatible too. Awesome.
Just to save you some worrying, all versions should be assumed save-compatible unless explicitly stated otherwise. The only versions that broke compatibility were the ones with vast fundamental changes:
* 0.23.130.23a to 0.27.169.32a broke compatibility because of the transition from 2D to 3D
* 0.28.181.40d to 0.31.01 broke compatibility because of the materials rewrite and the addition of creature casts, tissues and tissue layers, entity positions, and all of that other stuff.
* 0.31.25 to 0.34.01 broke compatibility because of the addition of interactions (vampires+werebeasts+necromancers, evil weather, etc.) and its fundamental changes to the way undead creatures are handled
* 0.34.01 to 0.34.02 only broke compatibility because of an incurable save corruption bug - not breaking compatibility would've just led to hundreds of additional crash bug reports where the only possible fix would be "delete your world and start over", so he just dropped save compatibility to force everybody to start over.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

So, for clarification, does anyone know if this means the PET_EXOTIC bug has been worked out?

Do we still need to get into our raws or will this rewrite completely negate the problem?

PET_EXOTIC means that it will be harder to tame the animal, but not impossible.

Well, that would explain why my skilled animal trainer who is also a metalcrafter can only -train- keas.

It is one thing that you can load a save file and just play; and another if you can play, and have the new features too. Most people assume the later as the meaning of compatible.

New version world generating now!  :D  My old fortress was getting stale anyway.  I WANT FULLY-CLOTHED, INFREQUENTLY-VAMPIRIC DWARVES TRAINING WAR TIGERS, AND I WANT THEM NOW!

Whoa, now, training doesn't ensure that your war tiger won't go wild one day and murder half your fort.
