New version out!
« on: March 23, 2012, 09:52:32 am »

It crept up on me, didn't notice it right away, but 0.34.06 is out.  This update includes reworked animal training, including site-specific knowledge and slower civilization-specific knowledge, as well as clothing being worn for real now.

Let the dragon breeding commence!

Does it have Dwarf towns in adventure mode yet?
Where can we go to read the release file updates?

I'm happier about this bugfix release than I was when DF2012 came out in the first place.

How do you train the animals you have captured?

Me too :D

How do you train the animals you have captured?

It is automatic, it needs a kennel, and a dwarf with the animal trainer profession. You can choose specific dwarfs for the animals, or let them tamed and trained by anyone.

WOOOOOT!!!!!

Also, these are huge:

Quote
(*) Workshop clutter changed
(*)Allowed people to pick up their own owned clothes

AND!!!

The saves should be compatible and use most of the changes listed (changes to the raws wouldn't be applied, like the new trainable tags for jabberers and cave dragons).  It gives the old saves knowledge of their domestically trained animals and you can learn the rest (it doesn't try to give general familiarity from historical events in old saves like the monster taming journeys).

I figured this would not happen! Happy to be wrong!

Huh, well then. I'll see if I can find a spectacular end to my fortress so I can start anew. I haven't even kept up with previous last update.

*smile*

Two of my greatest joys in life.
A DF bugfix release, and a thread started by Girlinhat, legendary metalcrafter.

Can Friday get any better?

Actually, it'd be really cool if someone approached Toady for a tv show based on DF, but the likelihood thereof is pretty slim, I'd imagine.
