Regarding werebeasts, they arrive to your fort in the same manner as a titan, right? maybe those are drawn from the wandering pool of historical figures. I've seen people talking about werebeast immigrants, I'm guessing these come from the settled pool, I can't confirm any of these myself.

I'm asking because I haven't seen a werebeast in my fort yet, I already got a Minotaur to visit, and I'm on the 3rd goblin siege (year 5 or so) yet no werebeast attacks.

Thanks a lot for that explanation!
Learning it would be nice, but having a nice explanation to get me started is even nicer. I hardly have the time to delve into stuff like this.

Sure, and remember, These two wiki links are very useful for information on this topic, and contain pictures and graphs.  They should help with anything else you aren't quite sure about.

By temples do you mean shrines? this world has 86 shrines

Shrines are in the wilderness, and are the lairs of titans and bronze colossi. Temples are structures in cities.

Oh, whoops.  In that case, I did mean temples.   :P

Would some of these .06 params be good starting points in a .05?
Not sure if .06 added any extra params.

I seriously doubt Toady changed anything in it, or he would have said something about doing so, unless there was something changed with regards to adding a worldgen function that lets you mess with how often creatures are tamed by civs, and that seems unlikely.

The mod 'Masterwork' has some brilliant maps to use should you lack the interest in creating your own worlds (such as myself.)

Garden of Gaia being my favourite...
