Question About Melt a Metal Object
« on: March 23, 2012, 03:29:40 am »

I haven't actually used this command before.

Will this command melt ONLY objects that I have specifically designated for melting?

I mean, it's not going to randomly melt a masterwork steel weapon, or even goblinite I want to keep, right?

Yes, it will only melt metal objects you designated for melting. Otherwise it would be quite useless/dangerous.

It's entirely possible to randomly or accidently designate something for melting, which is why I set up complex stockpiles to separate the melters from the keepers.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

Thanks.  My magma smelter is a GO!
