So i just got my first undead siege and im wondering, Does this work like a normal siege where you kill enough and they runaway?

I'm not entirely sure, but i think you'll have a necromancer there running the show, get some archers onto him asap because otherwise you'll be overfun Odd typo but i think i'll leave it in by all the reanimated limbs and hair.

They're nearly as bad as badgers. Build a couple of anti-buzzard SAM sites marksdwarf towers and your fortress will look like Baghdad in 2003 from all the aerial bolt spam. You waste a lot of ammo and everything is covered in unslightly exploded buzzard bits and broken bolts.

^^ what he said.

Killing the leader will break a seige. Goblins, a general, zombies, a necromancer. Now, I'm not sure they actually run away like goblins would, but they stay dead :D

Thats the weird part theres no necromancer. The corpses wont reanimate.

You have to put every single undead to rest.

Actually, the necromancers don't matter; I've had undead sieges where my soldiers took out all the undead and the necromancers just fled. Also, not seeing necromancers doesn't mean they're not there; I recently had an unpleasant surprise involving an undead siege with 2 visible necromancers, and one invisible one. The 2 visible ones got taken out and so did all of the undead, so the siege broke, but then the invisible necromancer stuck around. I know he came at the same time as the others because my gate guards were attacked by reraised undead right after the siege broke. I saved once the siege tag disappeared, turned off my alerts, and the dwarves going out to throw away corpses were set upon by the reraised dead right outside the gate.
