fortress clutter & unused furniture stockpiles
« on: March 22, 2012, 09:48:05 pm »

Hey everyone. Nice to meet you all.

My current fort seems to have a problem with clutter. The masons' workshops are beginning to overflow with clutter slowing work. I've designated stockpiles for every category and they all have lots of empty space but the dwarves don't seem to want to move the clutter to the stockpiles. I've made sure the clutter isn't forbidden or set to be dumped for some reason.

Also my furniture stockpiles seem to be completely unused. I make a lot of furniture from stone so I think that's why the masons' workshops are becoming cluttered.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

What exactly is staying in the shops? You can check with [t].
Also, I'm fairly certain that it's possible to turn furniture hauling off in the [o]rders menu.

Hah, I must have turned it off accidentally at some point. Now I feel dumb. :-[
Thank you.
