((So Nicholas has no damage from the collateral fire?  :D))

"Search, we shall. Let me help you with that."

Aid Nicholas in whatever attempt he tries to do if he fails.

Keep vigil over strange occurrences. Radio on the death toll; Inspect bodies on the way.

Facing off against the Sai user, Lisa made a feint to strike at him and then promptly snap kicked the man with knife shoes in the head, then spinning around to smash the Sai out of her opponents hands with her baton, then try to get him in a wrist lock.

Desmond spared hardly a moment for the man he had laid down with a broken trachea-the Hammer was making some horrible gagging noises that caused him a moment of involuntary sympathy, however misplaced it might be. This was not a time he could pull his punches, he reminded himself-and these people were dangerous, possibly insane. Yes, a man could feel pity for a mad dog, or a monster-but, if he threatens your family, he puts him down all the same...

He didn't dwell on it much-though he did, later-there was already another one. Upon spotting this new threat, he decided that charging Claymore dude (who he suspected had played too much World of Warcraft) would be a good first target for his new ability. Best to get him before he could put that sword to use.

First the harmony, then the spark...

Action: Blow down Claymore man with a kinetic blast.

Re: Roll to Be Heroic - Turn Forty-Three! In which the plot thickens
« Reply #438 on: May 02, 2012, 02:21:54 pm »

Turn forty-three.  Nicholas and Ires discover a guy entering numbers into a computer every 108 minutes.

At Central Park,
Agent Fortmüller grabbed the machine gun and slung it across his back before radioing the situation to the others.
"Three Hammers down at Central Park.  We've found a hatch that they apparently used, investigating now."
[5] With the suit's strength ripping the hatch door open was easy.
Agent Reon inspected the thugs' bodies as she moved to follow Nicholas.  The only things any of them had were their clothing and weapons.  Most likely they'd left everything else inside the hatch.
Nicholas and Ires moved carefully down into the dark tunnel, weapons at the ready.  Ires picked a wallet up off the floor: according to the ID one of the men had worked at the Federal Reserve part-time, and was going to a business school.  The two heroes made it to the end of the tunnel where there was a small badly lit room and found a pile of clothing and personal items in the corner, and an old computer on the floor.

Current Status:  Inside a hidden tunnel.
Sawed-off Uzi Guy: [subdued]
Chainsaw Man: [deceased]
Molotov Cocktail Dude: [deceased]

At Times Square,
Agent Maxwell tried to trip up the harpoon goon as he charged past her, [2+1] breaking his shin with a solid kick.  He stumbled and grabbed a pole, waving his gun wildly in Jenny's general direction.
Agent Conners faked a move towards the sai guy, spun around, and [3+1] kicked the thug who'd just stabbed his own foot in the head.  He looked stunned but not much the worse for wear.  Lisa spun back around and [2+1-1] locked her tactical baton with the other man's sai.
The one with the harpoon gun fired randomly, (2) missing everybody.  The one with the knuckles and shoes took a slightly dizzy swing at the back of Lisa's head, (6-1) knocking her down and stunning her without doing any real damage.  The last thug with the pair of sai turned to charge at where he though Jenny was, (1) and got clotheslined by the cord of her grapnel, landing on his back dazed.

Current Status: Fighting
Aerosol Flamethrower Thug: [deceased]
Harpoon Gun Goon: [wounded (broken left tibia)]
Sai Criminal: [supine, dazed]
Knuckles and Shoes Gangster: [wounded (laceration, left foot)]

At the UN Headquarters,
Agent Green spared a glance at the thug whose throat he'd crushed before turning to the charging one.  He held out his right arm, palm outward, grinned, and let loose a focused blast of orange kinetic energy, [1+2] stopping the man right in his tracks.
Beside him the Electrician had mirrored his pose, firing a hidden taser from his right hand at the guy he'd disarmed, who dropped, twitching.

Current Status: Fighting
Spiked Chain Ganger: [subdued]
Scythe Wielder: [unconscious, wounded (crushed trachea)]
Claymore User: [healthy]
Unknown Person: [unknown]

((Wow wtfbbq. Are people with +2 modifiers already?

Also, you swapped Ires Reon with Jenny on the tunnel sequence.))

"We found a small room with a computer at the end of the tunnel. Checking it now."
Nicholas analyzes the personal items and then checks the computer.

Jenny stomped the man wielding the sai in his face, then moved to break the harpoon man's wrist and prevent him from firing again.

Robotics training lets you build bigger and better stuff.  You could get plusses to using it with Piloting (Powered Armour).

Einsteinian Roulette has only had one permadeath for a dozen or so players, hasn't it?  So... I'm not sure.  Depends how game-breakingly powerful you've all become by then.

@Remalle:Alright, Can you maybe include a simple summary of how many enemies are facing us, and their statuses in our turns? Like, active, injured, disarmed, Ko'ed etc. Since we're not just one shotting all the bad guys now. :P
