Battle Royale: live carp versus dead badgers
« on: March 21, 2012, 02:33:49 pm »

The dead badgers danced the conga right over a waterfall, ending up in a pool full of carp. Steep sides prevent them from getting out. Only a third of the pool is in an evil biome, but badgers that are put down there do reanimate. So far, the carp (and a few tigerfish) are holding their own. Badgers are down to two rotten mutilated corpses. Carp are still pretty bad-ass!

Do wild animals actually attack one another? I don't remember ever seeing it happen.

All those who bet on the carp win! It was an epic, nearly year long battle, but finally the last rotting undead badger corpse was put down in the non evil part of the pool. There are two carp left. Fear the carp!

Oh yes they do.
On my last embark before DFVD came out, I had an alligator slaughter an entire conga of badgers. Then it proceeded to remove both arms and the left ear of my starting miner, before getting put down by an axedwarf.

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.
