I cant find anything other than sphaleright, and my burning fun stuff its only 50 z lvls below me, and i really dont feel like releasing HFS.

Any suggestions?

Make a non-metalsmithing industry of some sort to supply trade goods to buy what metal you need?

Past that use dwarven ingenuity to defend your fort.

I already got a Castle with draw bridge and walls with fortifications, can make wooden/bone bolts, plenty of leather for quiver, got loads of wood.

Im pretty much set, though i dont think wooden bolts do much to HFS

you could try to set up a game of dwarven checkers. (obsidianize them)

Only killed one, and that was because the miner had a Super metal pick.
And the fact that he was able to get close and rip ones arm off.

I know it's not the dwarf way, but abandoning so your super skilled dwarfs migrate to your new forts is possible nowadays.

I'm pretty sure Spike Traps work on clowns, and that you can still make Menacing Spikes out of glass.

Glass discs. Efficiency varies so just use ten per trap and a few dozen traps. :P

IDEA! Make a plug tall enough to fill up the entire bottom of the adamantine tube, then crash it through. If done correctly, it should create a pillar stretching from the bottom of the hfs up to the bottom of the tube. It will unleash the hellspawn, but they won't be able to reach you. You can get a more accurate measurement of how big the plug needs to be by using dfreveal, but otherwise you can just make it really, really huge and hope it's big enough.
