Concept art included.

Look at the third concept art. Look in the window.

Aaaaaaaaaaagh.
that is totally just a pig carcass.

It is not, in fact, the hood of a monseter that is going to butcher you like one of the pigs.

Totally.

We are have trailer. Main screen turn on.
Interesting.
I'm actually doing a blind Let's Play of Amnesia (in Lithuanian, sorry : < ) and while I don't really find it scary, the game is special in the way that it kind of just draws you in. Some people say that it is unbearably scary and they just want to quit, but I never want to stop playing it. Amnesia handles exploration right. Even if there is no procedural generation, it still keeps you guessing what you'll find next and makes you look forward to each new area.
Definitely doing a Let's Play of the next game when it comes out. Maybe in English?

Yeah, Amnesia keeps its levels bite-sized to keep drawing you in, and scaring the highlights out of your hair in each.

Coming Soon: Amnesia- The Dark Descent, localized for American audiences by EA. The game will feature sixteen unlockable weapons.

Pre-order the exclusing Deluxe Origin version now and get the upcomming DLC, "A Machine For Pigs" FREE . Featuring a 200 hour campaign, "A Machine For Pigs" is bound to shock and scare even the hardest of Dead Space players. DLC also includes 3 multiplayer maps and new weapon. Exclusive to Pre-orders is the deluxe "scary-guy" character skin, which now allows 1500 (Thats twice the normal edition!) different character combinations.

But seriously, so the people who made Amnesia and Dear Esther are working on this together. Hmmmmm...

So there's another trailer now but I forgot this thread existed.

The new lantern is interesting. I'm not certain, but looking at the trailer it seems as if it can switch between ambient and directed light. Now, some of you might be upset at the idea of directed light in Amnesia, but consider the two very severe drawbacks:

1. No peripheral illumination.

2. What you can see.....can see you.
