That said, it looks like it *could* be fake to me, although I haven't seen any absolute proof one way or another. A lot of these kinds of videos immediately create a 'that's fake!' reaction that is based pretty much solely on skeptical people insisting on something even though all they have to back it up is hearsay, so I also tend to be skeptical of the skeptics. I'll wait until I see somebody prove it's CG'd OR something providing more concrete proof that it was real before I decide one way or another.
That's cool and all, but the burden of proof lies on the person making the claims, especially when they are extraordinary.
There are a number of problems I see with the video:
-The wings just seem to be flapping randomly in the air. The wingtips don't bend upwards, and it doesn't look like they are supporting any weight.
-At around 40 seconds into the video, his legs just kind of magically move upwards so he's "lying down". It looks like he's just being supported by a upper body harness, so I can't really see how he'd manage that without any leverage. Hang gliders take off by running, then putting their legs into sleeves.
-Very suspicious cuts and shakey cam footage, also notice how one of his friends in conveniently in the way when he lands
Aside from that, it just looks fake. It's one of those uncanny valley things I can't put my finger on. Totally unscientific, but combined with the other things it just looks like a publicity stunt. Maybe a redbull commercial.
In fact, after giving the video another few watches, I'm going to call it entirely fake. He's dangling from a crane or put up there with computers. I'd love it to be real, but it isn't.
