Thanks for the grower, who pulls plump helmets and sweet pods from cold dark stone mud.

Many thanks for the gem setter, who is able to turn any piece of crap into a valuable masterpiece.

Thanks for the outpost liason (Legendary Annoyer), without whom I would surely have an expedition leader doing his assigned job. :)

Clearly, this represents six side-by-side wheelbarrows, as indicated by the right half of the icon.  The left half indicates they are carrying babies with hats in these wheelbarrows.

Presumably, they are lining up to dump them into the baby furnaces.

Thanks for the architect... Masterwork Well.

While adding magma to anything will make it dwarfy, adding the word "magma" to your post does not necessarily make it funny.

Blessed are the legendary animal tamers, for they provide war boars with which to spill blood, and modded war rabbits with which to distract our enemies.
Blessed are the legendary hammerers, for they provide warriors, and punish the unworthy craftsmen who refuse to make glass beds.
Blessed are the legendary carpenters, for they provide beds, and much trolling of the hated elves.
Blessed are the legendary furnace operators, for they keep our smiths busy with their appointed labors, as opposed to being wasteful do-nothings.
Blessed are the legendary cheese makers, for they provide worthy test subjects, and sometimes cheese.

Imagine the will it took to create a fortress like this. And what have you elves built? Nothing. You can only loot and break. You're not dwarves!! You're just termites at Versailles.

It's not that I don't suffer, it's that I know the unimportance of suffering, I know that pain is to be fought and thrown aside, not to be accepted as part of one's soul and as a permanent scar across one's view of existence.

Thank Armok for the large-pot makers and magma forges, that I needn't bother having tedius micromanagement-heavy tree farms any longer but for beds.  (And thanks be to the raws that I might make alternate forms of bed.)  Long may our desert glass-blowing and ceramic firing fortresses stand!

To be fair, large stone pots don't need legendary skills at all :P

Between glass blowers and potters, so long as I manage to keep my fortress nice and compact (I love fractal designs and hate those giant wasteful rectangle designs that are so common) so that I don't have absurd amounts of stone to destroy (although the extensive use of soil layers helps), I can basically save my FPS by not generating a lot of stone, using it when I have plenty, and then using infinite sand, clay, and crops to produce an infinitely self-sustaining fort.

That means I use it for more than just large stone pots.  I like my entirely green glass furniture dining hall.

Thanks for the legendary marksman/hunters, because of them, no bolt goes wasted or... unwasted depending on your view of things.

Thank armok for the legendary miners.
Without them, dwarven kind would never have established such a dominant (and awesome) position in society, far above all tree hugging hippies ground-dwellers

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Thank Armok for legendary soap-makers.

After all, legendary doctors don't get that way without a few test subjects willing volunteers.
