Anything in particular you're looking to play in D-Standard? Its not as versatile as E-Stan, but its a nice mid-point between the lower tunings. I'd go B-Standard but my guitar is pretty old and decrepit. Haven't played the damn thing in ages, quite honestly.

I didnt know in the beginning but i think i might go for Obituary since its not that complex and i just recently discovered it, any other suggestions?

Would like to play Necrophagist though if i had skills.
I bought a VGS Eruption, its Gibson Les Paul model, but of course not Gibson. I think it will be able to handle 13 gauge, or ill just buy 7 string set and just throw away the high E, what is better? The 13 Gauge or 7 string set? (I know that if you want B E A D on bass you need 5 string set otherwise it only good for C)
Anyway, metal for the metal thread! (Snare sounds weak here imo, would make record better if it was like the one they use live)
