Hi.
I have searched these, and not found anyone else mentioning them, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, the ideas:
SEARCH IN THE ARENA (CREATURE SECTION)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
PARTIES ON THE MAP (IN ADVENTURE MODE)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
MORE TAGS (IN THE ENTITY RAWS)
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Anyway, those were my suggestions. If any of these are insanely difficult/already posted/in development/there already just post.

1. Bumping this. Filter on string is always useful and should be wherever there is lists bigger than 1 page.

2. Will possibly come out later in dev as he fleshes out civs more.

3a. For peace/war stuff. At this time you can kind of cheese it with ethics, babysnatcher etc. tags. Ask in the mods forum for more details.

3b. Religion may or may end up like the gods in dungeon crawl stone soup where your god has an active impact or not. Its all up to Toady when he gets to that section of dev. As for the tags, Gods are somewhat randomly genned at this point  IIRC so it would likely get liked to the [SPHERE:WAR] etc. tags.

String searching in the arena has, indeed, been suggested before, although it's only since the recent .34.01 update that we had the huge glut of "giant" whatevers that we really need these things, and I started seeing more of these calls.

Parties on the map are actually somewhat planned at this point.  Up to the point where you can happen upon marching armies going across the map, and fighting each other, and giving you the chance to jump in and start fighting for one side or the other.  See the Army Arc of the devpages

Entity and religion raws are going to be further developed than they currently are, although part of the point is that you aren't really supposed to be in eternal wars, although there are mods that are capable of doing that, anyway.  Likewise, gods are going to become much more in-depth than they currently are later on, and spheres are expanding in importance.  There is no "Armok" in the game, though, just procedural gods.  Gods are identified by sphere, mostly, and each different dwarven civ may all worship gods of metal or war, but they're all different gods for each different civ.

Even though much of what you were talking about in the second and third points you were making may well go into the game, anyway, there are threads to be made if you want to extrapolate more on how these things could work, or you want to share some sort of in-depth knowledge or do some research on something.  I made a topic a while ago on something similar about how players could be involved in a world full of dynamic action going on beyond the control of the player like that of Mount and Blade or Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Some general things about suggestions -

Rather than ask if something has been suggested before, we ask you try searching yourself, first.  There's a search bar in the top right of the screen.  You can search by forum, whole forums, or individual thread.  This board uses boolean "AND" logic, so the less words you search for, the more likely it is you will get results.

Many threads wind up being duplicates of older threads, and we encourage people to read and possibly revive old threads rather than just resuggest the same thing over and over.  Especially when they are topics that have had a lot of argument over.

On another note, it's generally a good idea to avoid "list" suggestions, especially ones that have titles of something like "my list of suggestions".  Try to keep things to a theme, and have a topic that accurately reflects that.  Generic "my list" titles tend to imply a rambling list of already-suggested topics with no real focus other than being the things that bothered that one person about the game, and which were probably things that bothered many other people, as well.  They tend not to be read for that reason.  Try to focus in on a single united topic, even if a suggestion has multiple constituent parts (so long as they relate to a single topic, like everything someone knows about bees), and break up multiple suggestions into multiple suggestion threads (provided, of course, you have searched, and they are not duplicate suggestions).

Personally, I like [DF] because after climbing the damned learning cliff, I'm too elitist to consider not liking it.

Thanks guys for the posts. NW, I am new to these forums (in fact to internet forums in general) so thanks for the suggestions. Nice to know Entity RAWs are going to be developed more. Also, Armok was an example (exept in my modded worlds, where he is a massive mega-beast capable of breathing a variety of dwarven liquids).
