Hello, members of the Bay12Forums. I am here to present to you:
Godhood VILike previous Godhood games, this game will pit players as an important role in a mostly blank world: that is, as a God. Using Divine Actions, the goal of the game is to be creative and to try to make your god the best darn god the world has ever seen. I, as the GM, will play as the "Overgod" (but I seriously will not be that important, so this information is only something minor in the grand scheme of things).
Roleplay Topic1. This game, as following the Godhood Tradition, expects at least DECENT quality work and a level of maturity. While wacky stuff is fine and all, but keep it within reason.
2. All applications will be sent by PM. You will be alerted in-topic about being accepted.
3. You are expected to be at least a bit active when it comes to this game. At least post when you are doing nothing, try to interact, etc.
4. Your character was born just recently, so please, do not act like you know any god immediately.
Name: This should be obvious.
Description: Description of the god, what they look and act like, though you are certainly not limited to manifesting as what you put here.
Sphere: What your god is (initially) associated with. Only one "major" sphere allowed, though for minor spheres feel free to associate with whatever you want. As a note, concepts beyond understanding and are larger than a god, like time and space, are not going to be accepted.
Manifests As: What a god normally manifests as. You are not limited to what you put here as what you manifest as, though people will ultimately recognize you for looking like what you put down here.
In this Godhood game, each in-game "turn" you get 1 Divine Action. This action can be divided between many things, but ultimately must fall within the "guidelines" of what actions can do for an Era. Towards the beginning of the game, as an example, a god may be able at push up mountains or create mighty weather patterns which span continents, creating new races, and create the mightiest of artifacts. Later on, an act will be minor, and unable to shape the world as it once was able, and the artifacts will be not as amazing as their First Era cousins.
Gods in this Godhood game cannot run indefinitely, and will need to do a divine "sleep" which ends the Era. A long period of time will then pass where the world only sees minor influence of the gods and their actions, which will determine the next Era's gods spheres and other various "side-effects" of previous actions (a god of fire, regardless of what he was doing in an area, might make the region warmer due to his divine presence, might grant a populace knowledge of something which they normally would not know, mutate a creature into a terrible fire-monster, or even create a immortal "demigod", for a few examples.) An Era ends about every 3 turns, unless events prevent gods from sleeping unless they do something, like a God War or similar major event.
As a side note, the gods will not be born at the same time. There will always be at least 1 god to be born the First Act of the First Era, but all the other gods could appear at the end of the First Era.
