well, I noted that we switched to full on French feudal system then. Do we have "Marquis" as a title in? Or is it just simplifed dukes and counts?

There's a lot of french titles we could find, Ardas. Chevalier, Banneret, Baron, Vicomte, Comte, Marquis, Duc, and Roy (that would be the king). If Dwarmin wants, we could add others than Comte and Duc.

@Dwarmin: assuming I do opt for it, are you alright with taking in a royal advsior?

Yes, but you'd have to make the case IC.

Also, Dwarmin, are high ranking clergymen eligible for land ownership in the kingdom? In medieval Europe, they were not, but I thought it was worth asking.

Not at the start, no. I'd wait for someone to establish a religion and a character to go along with it.

Also, I like the French titles. We can certainly use those, depending on the character in question.

Also, putting in the name of my city and the region.

Is there a reason why we need to waste time having some random guy appeal to you in the first turn then magically getting the job anyway, instead of him just already being your adviser, as if he was also your mother's adviser before she retired and now he's yours?

Of course there's a reason. Roleplay!

Of course there's a reason. Roleplay!

There's more to role play if the characters have a history together, then if they barely know each other.  Why would the king trust him at all?  He's just some guy, even if he's suppose to be a noble or clergy, he's still a nobody.  The adviser is suppose to be one of the most trusted positions in a kings court, and he isn't gonna give it to the first fancy looking guy to walk in to his throne room, no matter his credentials.

Do we want to have a title from the game, apart from You are King 3? YaK 2 had "Tales of the Storm Coast". We could pick something like that, for example "Rise of Windheath" or something.

Rise of Windheath wouldn't make any sense since Windheath has been around for over 30 years, at least, at this point.

YaK 3 is fine. YaK 2 was a departure form YaK1, hence the special title. Now we're back to basics.

I'm just wary of giving people jobs before the game starts is all...There's nothing wrong roleplaying us as trusted friends, either. Rest assured, you sign up for Adviser, you'll most likely be adviser. :P

then just make him adviser!  if you don't want him then you can always fire him, which would be more meaningful if he's been there for years.

I was thinking of doing two maps; one with the name of cities, one with the name of places. If you have suggestions for a place's name (example, the name of the river, or the name of a wood), do share them.

Here's the map, for reference
