How do I not get to decide if I'm doing something illegal?  If I try to steal a loaf of bread, then I stole a loaf of bread.  Gunsmithing was clearly illegal, I even designed my entire character around it. Even if I mistook the guy selling the gun as illegally IMPORTING it and thus gunsmithing technically NOT being illegal, that doesn't stop the fact that you okay'd my character, who is an ILLEGAL gunsmith.  That's his thing, you didn't correct me once.

My first post was an introduction, inconsequential.  Second was basically the same thing as any other character going, "Tera lifted her hood off and approached the castle, 'I'd like to speak to the king please', 'okay sure'"

only you know I was trying to be original.. and by original I mean the same introduction I did for my character in the first YAK.


You know what would be really really really simple.  You just making gunsmithing illegal, since it's not like there's any other characters even making or using guns besides thunderwhatever, and he retroactively bought the gun from me anyway.

Not to mention it's your guys fault you letting me believe I was an illegal gunsmith. Why would I have a cover if what I was doing wasn't illegal, you'd think I'd make a hell of a lot more money if I didn't have to hide the fact that I make guns.

Cause guess what, if it's not illegal, then that makes my character look like an idiot, which is unfair since it's not my fucking fault, and he'd be back to doing nothing, well I guess he'd just be making gunpowder, which is boring.

And no I won't just walk up to the noble and ask for a contract or offer my services, Roland has class, I'd have to have a reason, like him offering to hire someone to manage musket making and me fighting against the other evidently legal gunsmiths for it, or what I was going to do, and just recognize him when i'm brought under trial and gush about how a gun I made killed that niko guy (I Should really learn people names)

So while you continue to complain we're all ignoring or approved of a character intended to do something illegal - try paying attention to your own application first.

You know what would be even MORE simple? People paying attention and/or not getting butthurt every time things don't go the way they blindly assume it -should- without asking if thats how things actually work.

Wait.. so you didn't see through the obvious lies?  Especially the last line?  Not to mention you knew I was a gunsmith why would you not bring up how weird it was that I didn't mention that at all in my character sheet?

You know what fuck it, let's just say my character believed it was illegal, and that he's been hiding it for all these years, thinking he's been really smooth, but in reality, he wasn't doing anything wrong, and everyone just ignored him cause he's weird and his only friend is that monkey.  My character just got 5 times more hilarious, but now i'm not sure what i'm gonna do :/  I'll think of something I got money.

I wonder if you can get arrested on the conspiracy to commit a crime that isn't illegal, but you thought it was...  I don't think so.

Admittedly, he's not likely in too much trouble for importing anyway. The weapons ban wasn't introduced until recently.

For the record: Gunsmithing was never, ever illegal. What your guy previously did (I understand he's the guy I bought a gun from early in the game) was illegal at that time but it wasn't not because he made firearms, it was because he was smuggling them inside the city while there was a ban on arms. That was illegal, but the ban on arms has been removed long ago (it only lasted one season) and you decided to no longer smuggle things.
