Meh, the magic in my character isn't really the main focus, its just there because of the bloodline I chose.

Somehow, I thought I already posted this up a few days ago. Ah well, a new day comes Spring.

So I don't know, or cannot find anything on what the upgrades are, so I pulled that out of general knowledge.

Should I come up with a personal description for those under my command or leave them as blank and generic?

Also put some acronyms in the starting resources, to justify why I chose them.

Should've read 'You are a Lord' a long time ago...First time in any of these games.
The regiment upgrade that does what you want is "Disciplined". You didn't explain Stalwart in the acronym (which I'm unable to view unless I quote you), so I have no clue what to suggest for that if anything.

As a fellow mercenary, let me be the first to welcome you into the game (when you get accepted)! If you're looking to do something a little more interesting than just guard caravans or, y'know, want to do that but with an awesome group at your back you should definitely start in Polca and meet up with Terryn while he's doing his daily bar-hopping-for-info thing or head to Ligoria and visit the Thornbred Guildhall just outside the Talama City walls! /shamelessadvert

E: just realized that CG actually did get around to replying to you, so my info-dump was useless as all hell. Just a shameless advert it is...~

E: Also, File: Terryn is purposefully waiting till after he's murdered the Guard Captain to meet with William, but you can always force the meeting if you want. It should be known to both parties that they're all in the city now.

I'll be lazy for a bit longer and let this play out...maybe later today I will.

We should probably have some sort of Team Polca* meeting at some point...

*Team Polca (eng. noun): Of the six player characters currently in Polca, the four who are allied in, at the minimum, a tangential manner. Primarily through association with William.

Could always send him after Gavin. I mean, there's rumors of another mage that haven't been wholly accounted for...
E: That is to say, send him out hunting down these rumors (maybe just quieting the rumors, if William thinks he's the cause of them)

Again, Herbalism and Physician aren't exactly documented traits, so you'll likely want to explain to what effect you'd like them to be useful for

I would like to be able to use both of these skills when there is any healing to be done, or anything related to herbs or chemicals and brewing them for something useful (wether healing or poison).
Both skills are rather close together, so maybe it should be one skill instead? Then again, it does focus on different aspects and can be used for things outside just healing. Also for example checking how and why someone died for example. It actually depends a bit on the situation if these skills prove to be useful.

Suggestions on what to change it into are welcome, if they need to be changed.

There's precedent for this. We had an herbalist in YaK I, she seduced and married an enemy lord using aphrodisiacs that she brewed and then used his forces to help us try and take over their country. We also had a doctor at one point, who used his skills with doctoring to save a regiment after a losing battle and also to help heal a permanent injury that another PC had suffered. With the advent of "injured" regiments (instead of just having them immediately be wiped out) this could be even more useful. I'd even suggest a "field medic" NPC specialist, in fact.

Discussing your double upgrade viability with Terenos - everything else looks fine. Go ahead and start (we can retcon the upgrade as needed, if needed)

In terms of 'starting' guarding, no. But if you want to play as a caravan guard, it will probably be easier for you to find a caravan to guard.
