[Shootandrun]

"The city has suffered enough. The nation has suffered enough. Honor asks me to fight you, Laythe, but there is nothing worth fighting for. I never asked for the title that I have, and I think it's time that I put my pride aside, for the good of others. I've decided to surrender."

He looked at William, who was coming towards them.

"I told him to stay inside. He... Is not obeying my orders. Whatever happen, please do not kill him."

He put himself between the Queen and the Prince. His armor was on, but he had no weapon.

[filiusenox]

William stared at Kathos, one of his eyebrows raising at the man's gesture.

"I'm standing by you Kathos, just to be the stubborn asshole I am."

Then he shifted a bit and looked over at Laythe.

"Do you want Polca, Laythe? Want me to help fight the multitude of your enemies, serving you like a loyal wolf? Or do you want me against you?"

[Taricus]

"I'm glad you came around Kathos. I think we've seen enough bloodshed over this. And William? I didn't want Polca, but if you're throwing that into the bargain, I'm open to hearing it."

[Shootandrun]

Kathos smiled behind his visor. He thanked William mentally, and spoke once again.

"Here's the deal. No one in the city dies. The men behind us are soldiers, obeying orders. No one is sent in exile, either. You can arrest Hugo if you want to, but for being a crime lord, not a rebel. Tala and Pasha are left alone. They did not want to be involved in this."

[filiusenox]

William added on some terms.
"Kathos ain't to be harmed or killed. And is allowed to continue being a Lord of some sort. Or a Knight. If he wants. I also request that he be allowed to join my retinue if he so chooses, with all the perks and benefits and downsides that that entails."

[Taricus]

"...Hmm, that's agreeable. There still has to be punishment, I'm open to suggestions on that however." Laythe's voice was becoming calmer and slightly warmer as this line of convesation went on.

[Shootandrun]

"How about I do not come back to Talama until I have conquered a city in your name, your Grace?"

[filiusenox]

"I want...to help."

[Taricus]

"...I was thinking something less drastic than that. Besides, this is the storm coast, taking a city takes time and planning, especially if you want to keep the political heat off of yourself. I'll put my own idea forward though: You'll hand over your business to me for a period of time, and the funds will go back into the city to help repair all the damage done due to this civil war. You'll be managing it, as well as being paid for it. Sound fair? Or any other ideas?"

[Shootandrun]

"I would rather take a city. I have the perfect one just in mind. It will bring you more money than my business, and probably less trouble. Besides, I feel like killing people would improve my mood. I've been sitting in an office for too long."

[Taricus]

"Very well then. Though I suggest you do not leave Talama until we've discussed that plan in more detail. Right now though, I guess I should get settled in, then talk to the people soon after that. I'll send a messenger to Sevirius to bring the flagship back into Talama's port. But for now, I guess we can call this war over?"

[Shootandrun]

"I suppose so. I'll wait for you in the counc- in the throne room, for a meeting about what was done and what will be done. William, you're coming with me?"

[filiusenox]

William shrugs.

"Sure. Lord Protector my ass..."

[Taricus]

"Right, Alaria, get everyone to stand down and back into peacetime duty. Get the siege towers disassembled and into storage as we can use the parts for more complex siege machines. Personal guard, we head to the palace, you are to take up garrison roles there.

...Finally home." Laythe sighed in relief, it was good to be back home.

[Shootandrun]

Say this^ and try to walk away, past the soldiers.

[2]The merchant's tone grows colder, and the guards block your way easily.

"I expect to be paid, young man."

[4] A messenger is sent to the army at the gates. He demands to speak with the leader of said army.

[In Ligoria, inside the Palace's throne room]

"I'd like to say, William, thank you for taking my defense. I owe you a big one."
