Gavin was feeling exhausted and bored, yet he barely started. It felt as if he made no progress at all, but he finally had the crazy girl out of his way. Or at least he hoped he had.
his research went poorly, h found no useful or relevant materials so far, and how could he carry on? He was effectively stuck in Shola, and Cain, despite his friendly appearance and protection, appeared less than useful.

Storm Coast was plain unsuitable for his research. Only place that would hold books on magic are those that either are really old, or those that did offer shelter to mages and never had bigger religious problems.
Three places fit the bill: Fiumefurt, Talama and Vasir. All of the mwere more or less open to trade and never really involved themselvesin any serious political or religious mess (save for more recent history).
A tour of all three would be nice, And Vasir, with its bustling trade and port seemed like an ideal place to start. but he would need money for that. Maybe if he asked Cain or did some trade himself...

Request to be allowed to go to Vasir for a week or so for research purposes. Prepare notes, ask around university if anyone needs anything from Vasir and ask for letter of reccomendation for reseach in Vasir libraries. Once that is done, go to Vasir onboard a a trade ship as a passnager.

Terryn's meeting:
"I am afraid I do not, but if this is the course you intend to take I shall order my men to begin constructing a platform from which to stage the execution. If we have our men form up on the ground before it, nobody should be able to get close enough to see the truth."
"Also, I've a small request, if you will hear me out? The riot left a large number of orphans in the city. I would procure 3 ducats from you with which to create an orphanage and schoolhouse to house them, and ensure they do not become a part of the criminal element."
William actually looks surprised.
"An orphanage and schoolhouse? That's actually pretty surprising, right there...Strange enough, I wasn't expecting that. If there's enough in the treasury then...sure. Although I hope you don't mind if Lizzy assists in overseeing it. "
Terryn grins, shaking his head. "No, that's quite alright. She can oversee it. I do have a teacher in mind, though, if you're interested. A young man recently returned from travelling and learning abroad, or so I've heard through the grapevine, and his family was slain in the riot. It may do good for public relations to put one of their own in charge of their young, no?"

Dracius looked around at the scene before him, men were running this way and that, getting of boats, unpacking supplies, no wonder they call this place the storm coast, that storm had wrecked his ship and brought quite a few of his suplies down to the bottom of the ocean, no getting them back now, they had then spent almost an entire day on the rafts before finally coming to land. Still, he had to put this disaster behind him, his mission had not changed, he was to settle a colony and establish diplomatic relations with the locals, he turned around and orderd his men to find a sutiable place to colonise, preferably unclaimed

William nods.
"I look forward to interviewing him when I get back."

Bind the man(Look-a-like) with iron chains and chop out his tongue beforehand, and make him wear a muffle. Then burn him. William gives a short list of his crimes and doesn't say where he was found, but someone asks he'll reply.

Send scouts to find unclaimed land to settle, But do not attempt to settle yet

There's lots of empty land between many nations. Some for a reason, others out of laziness/apathy. Where exactly you're looking would be helpful to know.

[326] You get the leave and letter, no one seems to need anything currently though. You also find a ship to hitch a ride on to Vasir.

While packing part of her supplies, Lan decides to pay a visit to Av. "About the discussion earlier, where were you planning to hire extra aid? Mercenary Companies?"

Question on the 'extra help' for the trip.

[65] "Likely, sure. Probably not until we get closer to anywhere that might cause a problem. Hard to find anyone out this far anyway."

Disband all hired ships (AKA cargo ships and escorts), Give orders to the Ligorian ship to stay put, then head on an intercept course towards the Ligorian army with everyone (Hyte, Eurika, engineers, all regiments and Laythe's doctor.), send a messenger ahead of the main force requesting a meeting with Alaria.

Noted changes in units. Movement/relocation cancels the gunpowder Eurika was working on.

[4?] Meeting agreed, "What an unexpected surprised...This is a strange homecoming Lady Ralia. Shall I arrest you now or save you the humiliation of a public execution? Either works, and I'm sort of busy these days."

Quote
-Have the Thornbred gather wood and building supplies from the buildings that were burned down during the riot, and use them to construct a large wooden platform during the raid. It should be high enough that the general features of those on it can be made out, but that people won't be able to tell that, say, the look-a-like is not Gavin.

Bind the man(Look-a-like) with iron chains and chop out his tongue beforehand, and make him wear a muffle. Then burn him. William gives a short list of his crimes and doesn't say where he was found, but someone asks he'll reply.

[43] No one asks beyond the extremes taken, though as a suspected mage it's understandable. People seem /okay/ with the outcome. Brutality over mercy and whatnot. Still, an acceptable end to a dark day.

Vasir. He never visited the place, and he was thoroughly impressed with it, when compared with what he saw in Polca and Shola. Supposedly the golden days of the city were over, but that did not diminsh the size of its markets or its traffic in the harbour.

Bustling with life, Summer was the height of the trade season before the crops were collected. Gavin did not spare much thought in staying and touring the markets however ,but got his bearings towards the Vasiri library.

Explore Vasir's libraries and bookstores. Use the letter to gain acess to books. Look for stuff on souls and arcane energy manipulation.

Your men seem to be terrible at sparring with you, perhaps they're afraid to hurt you.

Search for unclaimed land between Mileth and Nalia suitable for settlment that is along the coast line

[5] Land between Mileth and Nalia is easy to locate. [2] You question if anyone will notice you for a while if you were to settle a camp here.

Explore Vasir's libraries and bookstores. Use the letter to gain acess to books. Look for stuff on souls and arcane energy manipulation.

((and its Vasiri, not Vasirian :P))

[4]The library holds some useful materials on the nature of the arcane energies. [2] Book stores not so much, seems the vendors you find are more cautious about 'heretical texts' than you'd think they would be. Apparently there are a few zealots that have, in the past, burned down storefronts of those selling such things. No most of it is kept under guard in government holdings or private collection rather than sale.

Dracius looked around, the area was ideal for settlement, but it was rather open, easy for a passing caravan or runner to see, it looked like they might have to establish diplomatic relations sooner than he thought they would have had to, but for now settlement was his top priority, he sent his men off to set up camp tomorrow they would settle the land, then later, he would have to talk to the nearby powers

Order men to settle the land and lookout for anyone who might notice the settlement and report to me when they do see someone (put all resouces necessary into it)

"And to be honest, I'm not going to deny it either. I know I screwed up at Mileth, and a lot of people paid the price for it. For the most part, a lot of what happened at mileth is directly my fault, and I full well take responsibility for it."

Library appeared to contain useful information. Just what Gavin needed. It would be interesting to see if its possible to store spare energy somehere, like some sort of phylactery or a crystal. He had some cursory knowledge of the subject, but he hoped that the books he found would help him to solve his chronic problem of constant underpoered state. He could not always drain someone, and he could not utilize sources like leylines or earth for his magic like others.

Research on methods of storing souls in crystals from the books found. Make relevant notes and return to Shola.

Also, while Laythe is talking with Alaria, Eurika wandered around, asking Laythe's soldiers/employees about Laythe. Maybe talking them into inadvertently revealing more info then they normally would say. Also, talk mostly to the rank-and-file. Maybe also ask about the Lord of Polca, whoever he is.

-Terryn provides his spy with his remaining .4d. The spy is to use these funds to falsify heinous crimes for the various members of the "resistance" beginning with the leader (who will be accused of the /worst/ crime) and going down. Orphans and the Homeless may be victimized, if that is what it takes to complete the ruse. As soon as the evidence is planted, members of the Thornbred and Crimson Guard will be notified by an anonymous citizen and sent in to make an arrest.
-If possible, Terryn secretly takes .2d funds from the Polcan treasury to further aid in this endeavor.

-Now in charge of Polca in William's absence, Terryn has Lizzy take 2d from the Polcan treasury to purchase a warehouse or two and begin to convert it/them into an orphanage and schoolhouse. If she can get a better deal, and save some of that rather than spend it, she should.
