"Hey, I've just come back from Polca, It can't be worse than an all out massacre by the town's own lord, right? hehe... Well, thank you again for your gracious offer. Right, off we go!"
"Seth" set off with the servant on the tour of the University
Cain smiles when you say 'It can't be worse' and you set off with your Guide
The university grounds are well kept and beautifully designed. You're brought to a modest sized lab that appears to not have been used in a number of seasons if the layers of dust are to be believed.
"The previous Scholars assigned to this wing of the grounds we attempting to use several species of fungus to create a miasma that would cause dellusions and unconciousness - turns out they simply created death. Too a while for the fumes to clear - should be fine now...still smells like horse shit though. I'd advise leaving the windows open for a few days" He turned to leave and stopped at the door briefly,
"Should you require assistance, just locate a steward of the grounds. They'll point you in the direction of anything you might require"Fix the damage in Polca. Upgrade the Crimson Guard with Heavy Two, if I do have that many ducats.
1d spent to repair
2d spent to upgrade
4.7d remains
In the meantime, inquire about prices of any free land in or near Ligoria.
Wait out the rest of the week, preferably enjoying the scenic views and places that Ligoria Talama can offer.
Then report back to the Storm Coast Merchant Guild for the next trip.
A local is dumbfounded,
"Free land? In what regard? Land is owned by the Lords, Kings or other leaders of every nation. Land is awarded to those who provide a great service to the nation. It cannot simply be bought. What sort of land do ye hail from that you can buy your land? I'd love to see such an awkward place. Bandits must pillage and live like kings without a royal army to defend the lands"You take in the sights, inlcuding the former Arena, over the week and report to the Merchants you were working with before. Many have set out already into various direction, but the merchant you hired on with previously is packing up the last of the caravan for the Journey.
"Ready to go? Shouldn't be too bad a trip. I can't say much about where we're headed until after we've left Ligoria proper, but the pay should be worth it for you and your men"
