"Do you have the funds to start a sizable service business?"

"Hmm... if it is not too much of a bother, could you create a service business dedicated to researching engineering? Under the name of a business, one should be able to recruit engineers more easily than just hiring them... "

"Or a general workshop. In any case I can do so. Did you have any specifics on location or not?"

"In any case Will, I'll be heading to Shola to get treatment for my wounds, and I'll be taking my knights with me so you won't be able to rely on them for defensive actions.

Laythe

"Somewhere secure. That's all."

Eurika looked around for William. Was he in his study, or at the town?

"So, that rules out Polca then. Anything else you wanted to dicuss with me, or did you want to leave now?"

"But i'm guessing that's not really what your looking for?"

Bloody hell.....

Gavin tries to find a smallest boat and jumps aboard. He then speaks to the crew.

"Sorry for the interruption, but William and his goons are on they way here and want to put down the rest of the people. Unless we set sail NOW we all die. I only tried to defend myself, honest to Talos.
Also, if you don't cooperate, I will do the same thing as I did over there to defend myself. Now get up the sail and sail for Shola! Just get me there and you can go!"

Intimidate/persuade crew to set sail for Shola to deliver me there. If that fails drain one of the sailors and set the boat on course using a spell. Threaten to kill the rest if they don't get me to Shola.
If all of that fails, jump into the water and using a chunk of my own energy cast a spell to swim fast towards shore outside Polca.

William and three of his men chase after Gavin. The rest attempt to flank him and box him in.

[4vs1] While Gavin runs towards the smallest ship he can find, William and his men rush towards him. However, they are far behind, and the attempt to flank the mage suddenly fails when one of the Crimson Guards trips on the corpse of the unconscious peasant and falls into the sea. Two men jump in after him to get him out, but all three of them sink because of the armor. The other soldiers sent to flank Gavin start getting out of their armor to save the three idiots.

[4] Terrified by Gavin's magic, the crew starts working instantly. [6] They were apparently ready to leave when the mage arrived, so there is no delay. Sadly for them, another ship [1] full of armed and mean-looking men starts following them, determined to catch the heretic. [5] However, Gavin's ship is much faster and they manage to escape without any problem.

[6] The journey to Shola is quick and uneventful - the crewmembers, who are all fishermen, appear to be spineless peasants who only want to get out of this alive. Atleast, that's what Gavin thought; but on the last day of the journey, he wakes up inside a dinghy, with one day's worth of food, his clothes, and not a single penny. Apparently, the fishermen found some sort of courage (maybe they thought Gavin would kill them when they arrived at Shola). Thankfully for the mage, they left him within sight of the city.

Gavin is now in Shola, without any money or ressources, but alive.

Damn... stupid fishermen...

While he had no money and gained nothing of material value from the Polca episode, he finally got his first taste of real power. Power that can be summoned and used as he pleased. Shola was just on horizon. Another town, another chance.

After Getting rid of the boat, Gavin stepped inot the nearest tavern. He heard that Sholans we bit brighter than the rest, but with events of Polca on his hands he hoped to have more persuaing power.
A small drink and some light chit-chat later Gavin started to spin his yarn.

"Polca was awful. The corruption and the smell of death... terrible. William really let his madness flow freely this time around. People were warned, believe me, but once he got the whiff of the news he went berserk..."

Get to Shola port. Sell the dinghie. Under name "Seth", start spreading "real" info of what occurred in Polca ( a mad lord and his sorceror who slaughtered half the city). Talk with the interested in a small group, and organise a " secret club" with regular meetings at late hours. Tell them about the "secret of Polca" (impending doom from the south corrupted William). Tell them that Seth can save them if they follow.

Eurika's Meeting:
William is in his bedroom, laying on his bed. He's fully dressed though, and alone.
"Huh? Oh hullo Eurika."

Eurika came to William's side.

"Good day."

She paused.

"Do you have any need for me soon? If not, I was planning on going to Shola."

William isn't grinning, and his tone isn't amused, like usual, it's more relaxed.
"I was going to ask you to run Polca for a little bit with Terryn. But other then that, no not really. Why are you going to Shola?"

Eurika replied, sidestepping the question for a moment,

"You aren't exactly friends with Laythe, are you?"
