In his Garden:

"Most healers only know the most basic things themselves and are quite aware of their failings as teachers in the more advanced skills. Some 'healers' are nothing more than charlatans. Those rarely stay long in a city, with good reason."
"I could teach some of the more capable and empathic people, if there is a need for it. I cannot promise that they will be able to handle any plagues though. It might be one that does not have a cure, there are sadly many things that cannot easily be healed."

"Hm...well how do you feel about doing some travelling?"

Ienden raises an eyebrow for a moment.
"Seems like you have more in mind then just asking me to teach your men for emergencies. Care to expand on it instead of beating around the bush like this? I prefer to get things done instead of long talks. And I might be having patients that need my attention."

[filiusenox]

"That would be Terryn, if i'm not mistaking. A mercenary who assisted
me a while back. Hmm...this is interesting..."

The Guards at the front door of the manor checked over the group,they looked surprised at the preacher being silently herded between three of their brothers. William pulled open the doors and turned right, then right again after coming to another hallway.

The room was lit by glass lanterns  and had a long wooden table perfectly arranged in the center.
"The dining room."

William sat at the far end of the table, and the priest was made to sit at the other end by the guards shepherding him there.
"So, you hungry, Aurelius? And how about you Eurika?"

Lord's Garden

Ienden raises an eyebrow for a moment.
"Seems like you have more in mind then just asking me to teach your men for emergencies. Care to expand on it instead of beating around the bush like this? I prefer to get things done instead of long talks. And I might be having patients that need my attention."

"It's simple, really, I want to figure out what's causing this plague and get rid of it. By whatever means necessary. In order to prevent it's further spread. I would go myself...but i'm incredibly busy what with the bandit raids and all...I need someone with knowledge of Herbalism and Medicine to go and investigate."

[Ardas]

"Well, seeing how I was interrupted in middle of my meal, I will not refus you generous offer."

He sat down. It was strange, being arrested and then offered a meal by the lord of the city...

"May ask again why am I here? This woman seemed to have the exact silly idea about me as that fellow who assaulted me."

[Skyrunner]

"Eh... isn't it better than being knocked out and kidnapped?"

Eurika slung her bag over one of the chairs and took a seat.

[Draigh]

Ienden raises an eyebrow for a moment.

If people believe I have a cure, they might resort to violence to get it if they are desperate enough. And the prospect of dying tends to make people desperately clinging to life."
Softer and with a more compassionate voice he adds:
"If people would only show that will to live before they are aware of dying..."

William's Manor
"Because I'll kill you if you leave."

"Or those other men will. Here you'll have protection from them until I get to the bottom of why Terryn was attempting that."

William stood up from the chair.
"Excuse me for a moment, I need to tell the chef to cook up something besides bread and dried meat. Pork sound fine to you two?"

"I could go there and do some research and perhaps help the people there with a cure if possible. But I will need some preparation, resources and preferably also some protection while I am there. "After the bandits are taken care of, you'll have all you'll need. And a large reward is going to be given as well, if it works."

[Ardas]

"Y-yes. Pork sounds fine."

Gav waited until lord left the table.

"You stupid woman! Why are you doing this to me?"

[Skyrunner]

Eurika pretended ignorance.

"Do what? Also, I think he can here you from the kitchen..."

She looked at 'Aurelius'.

"Why don't you tell me your real name? I promise I'll not tell it to William, unless under inordinately extreme circumstances."

[Ardas]

He sighed.

"What real name? I already told you , Aurelius. That is my name. the only one I have and had.  What is your obsession with me anyway?"

[Skyrunner]

"It's because I love you very much at first sight, oh handsome preacher."

Eurika said it in the most cynical way she could.

"I mean, really? First of all, you create a ball of light that not only hovers in view of a clearing, it explodes in a rainbow. Totally not suspicious at all. Second, a troupe of unknown, heavily armed men assault you in the middle of evening-time, and they happen to lie between their teeth. And third, I have an obsession with many things. So there."

The third reason was always the hardest to make up. Grr.

[Ardas]

"It may be hard for an unbeliever to understand, but there are forces that are mightier than us, and what happened is His benevolence shining down upon us.
I could talk more, but frankly, I'm not in the mood."

Crazy. Crazy to the tee she was.

"What is your name again? I forgot. And who is our host? Are you his servant or something?"

[Skyrunner]

"Blah blah blah, forces mightier than us, blah blah excuse. Really, my dear priest and or preacher and or missionary, it is hard to believe that a mere preacher would be found worthy enough to be the target of a quartet of men, in the middle of a heavily patrolled city, when you... pardon, seem quite poor. As for my name, it is Eurika, and our host is William. "

[Draigh]

[Ardas]

""Listen Eurika. I have nothing on me, or with me or hidden anything anywhere. These men just burst in to my room and started abusing me for whatever forsaken reaosn they had, lying heavily to trick me. I never seen them before I have no idea what they wanted, and you could at least give a damn about man's faith!"

If she knew something besides her crazy insistence that Gav was hiding something, she really wasn't showing it.

Lord's Garden:

"Then I assume this meeting is finished for now? Untill you are ready to send me off to plague lands. In the meantime I will arrange matters here so I can leave my recurring patients in good care while I am away. If you happen to be in need of healing in the meantime, you know where to find me."

"Of course. Have a good day...You know the way out."


Dining room:
William headed stepped back into the dining room. He was holding a wine bottle and three cups.
"Dinner is going to take a while. Hope you don't mind too much. Gives us plenty of time to talk. Want a drink Aurelius, Eurika?"
