"Okay..."

"It involves a badger, a beehive, a chest and four liters of grease."

"I don't think psychological warfare would work at this stage William. I'm going to need a straight answer before I commit my forces to an unknown plan."

William smiles.

"I find it funny how you think I would actually do something like that..."

"Or that that was my one and only plan for this matter..."

"Well, it goes like this...I'm going to rig up a chest or item in a chest to show me the way to the camp. I'll investigate it, to make sure it isn't a trap or refuse pile, do some scouting, maybe take out the sentries and poison the food if I can, then I'll signal for your horsemen and any other troops I feel I can spare from defense to attack the camp."

"Actually, yes."

William leaned back in the chair a bit.

"We really don't know each other very well, do we?

Later...
The Crimson Guards are to staff the gates, hopefully protecting against further bandit raids on the city.
William attempts to soothe the populace's fear by telling them how the bandits will be taken care of by mid-summer.
He also -under the guise of touring the city- scouts out Auvin Gastan's (the Old Lord) current residence/house.

~Unspecified time

Eurika timidly but assertively (:P) knocked on the door of William's study.

"May I come in, mi- William? Sir?"

There's no reply from within the study. William is either dead, asleep or away from his study at the moment.

The door is...unlocked, strange enough. It swings open to reveal...

A  room with a desk set in front of some windows, which now have thick wooden shutters set over them. There's the fireplace a-crackling, sitting beside it is...is that a branding iron? Laying across the floor is a nice furry rug.

A few papers lay across the desk, along with a few books from the adjacent bookshelf.

Besides that, the study is just a regular room.

-Terryn and the Thornbred, along with the regiment of Thugs, set the plan into motion starting with a series of high-profile city-wide disturbances around dusk, at the Polcan underground's discretion. Terryn will discreetly provide up to .5d worth of funds for high-proof alcohol and matches, so that the criminal regiment may start fires at opposite ends of the city.

[232] Your plan may have been sound, but given the amount of time these men have been out of work, they seem to be rusty with their respective skills. You provide ample supplies for them to do their business, but they're not nearly as effective as you would have hoped for - too bad you'll never know how little time you'll have any idea.

Quote from: Group Event
Using the life energy of the congregation, summon a ball of golden light that will hold over the meeting for a minute, and then explode in a shower of golden particles.

(note: he has the untrained talent of magic within him, most likely charged and ready by now... just waiting for the right moment to manifest itself. Ienden himself is pretty unaware of it.)

With another sigh, Terryn loped up to the circle and took Oswald's hand in his, another of his Brother's in the other.

Ardas: [541 cast]
Your spell goes off without a hitch and besides your intention, the shower of golden has a secondary burst of rainbow sparkles. The trouble comes when you attempt to close the circle, however, and while attempting to break the connection several members of the crowd feint and others may have nightmares in the coming days. [?] You're unaware as to how, but you feel there was a secondary flow of power and control into the circle. It felt unrefined and chatoic, but you're almost sure whatever it was may have contributed to the closure - albeit bludgeoningly.

Draigh: [556] You can feel the energy of the circle in your body during the entire display. As you see the showers of sparks come to an end you can almost feel as if something is wrong. Without much mental reaction on your part, you suddenly feel very tired but you no longer feel the energy of the circle anymore.

ThatKid: [X] You watch the entire display and don't truly feel any different for almost the entire time. Near the end you start to feel dizzy and lightheaded, as do several of your men.

Recall Talus and my regiment. Search and ask for any Merchants seeking to head out of Polca and propose a deal to offer my aid.

[664] You find a few merchants who decided to band together and push out toward Ligoria. They're attempting to use the cover of night to get out of town and won't be lighting any torches for several days until they're clear of Polca. You notice a few of them bear the markings of the Storm Coast Trade Guild - they seem unhappy, and you come to find out that they cashed in some favors and credit to hire a few extra guards to ensure they'd make it.

Using the ambient earth energy, enchant the compass to point to this bottle for twelve hours.

[533] Your spell works masterfully and lasts well beyond the intended half-day. This compass will probably point toward the bottle for the better part of a week.

Hire 3 scholars for 6 ducats

Done, you'll have them come summer.

Guard will react on the next raid attempt.

[4] The people seem to be hopeful that you will be true to your word.
[5] The house looks well lived-in and active. Traffic in and out is sporadic, but not unusual for an acive noble.

"South, so very far south...Hatcur. I lived in a monastery; such a quiet place, nothing like the cities I've witnessed. This city however...its like a city of monasteries, I was hoping to learn more about it...perhaps speak to this Archbishop or a historian? But I digress, who am I speaking to?"

As she waited for an answer, Selim nodded to the nearby statues, not knowing if they were gods or saints; it was good luck either way.

Ask to speak with either a historian or the Archbishop and also ask who I am speaking to. Nod to nearby statues.

At the meeting at Dusk:
William reacted as soon as the shock of seeing a ball of light form wore off, which was about the same time as the first people fainted. His men reacted in the same way.

They checked for pulses on the wrist of each person who fell, making sure they were all still alive. Satisfied that they were still alive, his men and him arranged them into more comfortable positions.

He approached the nut- prophet.
William's mind was awhirl with questions, but for the time being he didn't say a thing.

He made his voice more polite.
"Well, i'm impressed, for one...er... But can you please tell me why some of these people fainted, sir?"

Eurika wanders in. She glances at the papers without touching them, then finds an empty sheet and a pen. She carefully writes,
'I have conducted an experiment on the bottle, and it seems the compass is now attuned to it... it will point to it for up to, but not exceeding, a week. If you have any tracking related plans in which this is needed, I strongly recommend you to put it into action immediately. Luck and providence both nodded their respective heads at my endevour; the next casting might not be as effective.

Also, in regards to the power I possess, I know from experience that metals, especially the more precious ones such as gold or silver, have the ability to power and focus it. Any actions requiring a great amount of power over finesse should not be conducted without an appropriate amount of metal.
    --Euri

PS. I am afraid of the sea. Before you ask, no, not really.
'

Perhaps her prose was too verbose for such a subject, but the formality of the act of writing subconsciously caused her to use that kind of diction. Eurika set down the bottle and the compass over the note. She glanced at the papers again. Was there any writing on them?

Eurika watches as a shiny ball of light explodes into magical rainbows. She recognized it as some form of magic, and eyed the man, eyes narrowed, before clearing her expression and preparing to follow where-ever he wanted to go.

Slightly dizzy, but otherwise fine, Gavin finally finished his display. If anything people must have felt something, and with the show, they will believe him now.

Now to put right spin on it...

"Dear brothers and sisters, fear not! This congregation was weak, yet we managed to receive His blessing! Some of us may have been unworthy and sinful and have been overwhelmed with His Power, but there is salvation to be found!

I am but a humble servant of His will, and I ask for not much. Nonetheless, my earthly body needs to be sustained, and a small contribution on your part would be welcome. I will be in polca for some time, so those wishing to hear more are welcome! I will be in town square in the midday, just as today."

He eyed the armed men in the congregation and the city guards. They had to be gotten rid of somehow...

"Dear brothers and sisters! For the futue, its better if you come unarmed and with clear intentions. The prayer is distorted if your mind is not concentrated wholly on it."

Ask for donations and inform people of more being delivered next day. Retire to an inn for the night using .1d

"Maybe not now William, though we may know more about one another in the coming times. Atleast, I'll have my troops, what ones are avilaible, assisting the city guard until those regiments are trained.
