"The last time I had to deal with a guard who unwittingly posed a threat to their own nation's security, William, it was in Ligoria. Three months later, the Lord who they worked for was assassinated by his fellow." Terryn stated calmly, eyes sweeping the courtyard. He did not notice the marksmen. "I only hope that I may prevent the same from happening to you. I am, after all, still in your employ. And allowing such an event to pass would be in...bad form."

A few days after the Bar Incident:
"The way I heard it was that a certain white-haired guard was asking you why you we're bothering a citizen, impersonating a preacher, and a number of other things."

As William spoke, Terryn checked under his nails for dirt, glancing up at the Lord only once. "The way I heard it, a certain white-haired guardswoman charged into a room because a certain preacher had begun to shout out prayers to his Lord, and then upon seeing that there were other people inside apart from the Preacher took it upon herself to accuse the leader of those four other men of attempting to rape her."

"And the way I see it, she made these accusations in a manner meant to draw the attention of the patrons of the inn. Then, she called upon the Lord himself to arrive and pass judgement." He pauses a moment, favoring you with a lop-sided grin, "With the full knowledge, of course, that the locals are not very happy with the current Lord Polca, especially after the death of poor Captain whats-his-name, and so were likely to start something should the Lord recognize such clearly spurious claims for what they were. I am sure you are familiar with how lynch mobs start?"

"I'm pretty sure Madami Eurika didn't mean that. And...strange enough, I was going to pardon you for most of your crimes, except drawing a weapon on a Guardsman and Assault on said Guardsmen, which I would have asked you to pay a minor fine for..."

"But if you continue to insist that the populace of this fair city actually care for you, then I'll be forced to put that to the test."

Terryn arched an eyebrow. "They don't care for me, that would be the issue at hand. I had no desire to be murdered by a lynch mob due to false claims."

He waves a hand, shaking his head. "And in any case, you've been lied to about the situation to begin with. I was not impersonating a Priest, I was impersonating a Witch Hunter in the hopes of scaring a conman into revealing who he works for. Do you really believe a Priest would request that his 'flock' leave the safe confines of the city wall, and then somehow administer a poison of some kind to the lot of them in order to create the appearance of a blessing from on high? I certainly don't, and anyone with the capability and backing to perform such a stunt is clearly no mere conman. He's working for someone."

"Then why did you flee when you heard I was coming? Did you expect me not to listen to both sides of the argument?"

"Which you were right about. Seeing as Aurelius is a conman of some sort...and in my custody. Now then...are you going to pay the fine or should I arrest you?"

Terryn sighed and rubbed at his temples. "Did you not hear a word I just said? You may have known that the accusations of rape were false, but the drunkards are more likely to believe the words of pretty girl than a Lord they despise and a Hedge Knight. I fled, because even had I the chance to explain what was happening, your guardswoman had maneuvered things so that I was like to be punished by mob rule regardless of what you decided."

"Didn't you listen? I don't give a damn about the accusation. You assaulted a Guardswoman and pulled a weapon on her. You can be arrested and tried or pay the fine or lets say....1 primat since i'm annoyed.. It's up to you."

"And I'll be speaking with Eurika later. And if punishment is necessary, it will occur."

"That's fine, I'll have someone bring it around." Terryn replied, turning to leave. "In the future, perhaps ensure your guards know how to properly enact Justice before sending them afield, hm? Now, if you'll excuse me, I've a job to finish."

-Terryn pays the .1d fine.
-He then attempts to contact his allies in the underworld, looking for information on the Old Lord of Polca and asking them if they feel it would be safe to petition him for aid in dealing with their "problem."

The manor was boring, and there was only so much he could eat and drink. Gavin felt sufficently strong now, with his energy recovered so a break-out was in order.

He chatted with the guards and servants and observed the place, while wondeing about the escape routes. He could drain a guard, but how would he do it? Or he could just create a lot of smoke and noise and get away while no one was watching. Burning down the manor was not a good idea, but swiping few itmes before he left was, provided he could get away from that crazy lord.

Over the next couple of days, try to seduce one of the female servants. Drain her of energy once she falls for him, but without kiling her. If that fails, go to the manor kitchen and simply try to quietly drain any servant, again without killing.

Then conjure up enough thick smoke to fill the entire manor. Once done that, swipe some valuables and sneak out while everyone tries to put out fire that isn't there. Hide in the poorest area of Polca.

Build three ships in the port

(Your ships should be ready by Summer)

[X] Everyone but Blackadder arrives to the meeting. Your generals are armed and armored. August seems to be neither. No one has seen Blackadder recently.

--------------------

Over the next couple of days, try to seduce one of the female servants. Drain her of energy once she falls for him, but without killing her.

[13] You fail horribly at managing to seduce any of the female staff. Maybe you're out of touch. Maybe they all heard that you were some kind of danger or criminal and wanted nothing to do with you. But you're easily able to lay hands on the cook late one night.
[6,4,2] The cook promptly collapses. A strange, thick itching fog coalesces out of nothingness rapidly expanding and filling every floor of the manor, and it starts pouring into the street. You can hear screams and panic as you try to make your way out of the Manor.
[X] Success! You've managed to group up with the mob of people fleeing the area, no one seems to be paying attention to your face, they're just trying to get out of the building as fast as possible. The fear and panic is a palpable force. You manage just barely to slip away from the milling crowd of manor servants. You head for the poorer sections of Polca, as was your intent.

EVENT
The fog that pours out of the Manor of the Polcan Lord does not stop. It has slowed somewhat but is gradually overtaking nearby buildings.

People are understandably greatly concerned and they look to their lord for guidance.

------------------------------
Later that day
William will make some armor from grey leather- which will have plates sewn into it over important anatomical spots, all the materials will be purchased anonymously- which will hopefully hide his identity and not obscure his peripheral vision. Then he'll wait until night and head to secluded back alley by the Old Lord's Residence, making sure not to be seen.
[2,1] You know the interesting thing about being the lord of a place? Managing to do anything 'sneaky' yourself is somewhat difficult. Made doubly so by your prior actions against the criminal community in this area. You either cant find them or they simply refuse to do anything for you(or your men). And its not like you're any manner of leatherworker. And according to a quick canvas of your troops, none of them are either. You could probably hire someone to make it for you but then someone would know what you were up to.

"Nobody has seen Blackadder recently? In that case, I'll send people looking for him. It doesn't matter for now, though. We can do this meeting without him."

Kathos looked healthier than the last time he had seen the generals, and certainly in a better mood. He had nearly smiled when they had entered.

"I'll make this quick, gentlemen. We cannot simply stop the border campaign until a new Lord Protector is chosen. If De Plume is left unchallenged for too long, she might start attacking our borders or raiding the parcels we recently acquired, with the help of Sir August here and Blackadder. However, I do not plan to repeat Nikephoros' mistakes. Since I am a mere politician and I have no experience in the arts of warfare, I will not lead forces at the border. I will leave that task to Alaria - Talvius will remain here to keep the city defended. However, I have some... Suggestions that might help you during the campaign to come."

He opened a map on the council table that showed the ligorian peninsula, and he pointed the borders.

"The parcels at the borders are heavily forested, and that greatly helps lady De Plume in her actions. However, these woods have little use - they do not make good bows and cannot be used to build good ships or buildings. We do not need these forests. I believe the simplest way to finish this campaign is to simply burn down the woods at the borders, using controlled fires. De Plume will no longer be able to hide in the woods, and we will be able to make farms and villages in lands where there was previously nothing but wood."

He cleared his throat.

"Of course, that is simply my suggestion. If you have another idea, explain it to the others and we will decide what's the best course of action."

Talk to the generals and August
Recruit three spies for next season (6d)
Send Alexander (Ligoria's only spy) south to investigate about the strange events that happened there
