[Ardas]

"Sure. May I ask you what would you want to know, my lord? I alrerady explained to Eurika that I know nothing about these men or what they wanted."

[filiusenox]

Dining Room.
William filled the glasses with wine out of the bottle and handed one to Eurika and Aurelius. He filled up the  third glass and set it beside him.
"Remember anything interesting they said? Please don't lie."

[Ardas]

"All I remember is their babbling about them belonging to a church and trying to convince me of it. They were pathetic lies, to say the least. They were at the prayer, but they showed themself as not more than armed ruffians. When Eurika appeared and it became apparent that their lies are paper-thin, they decided to run, but not before assaulting me and her.
What did they want from me I do not know exaclty, since they never got to that part. But they were rude, crude and really annoying, with at air of superiority and disregard for others."

Gavin took a sip.

"Do you know them, my lord? Problaby not, I assume that you do not deal with ruffians such as that man."

[filiusenox]

Terryn...Thornbred? I believe that was the man's name...He's a mercenary. He assisted me some time ago, in a certain...matter."


William grinned as he picked up the glass and swirled the wine around.
"Are you sure your telling me everything..?"

"Oh and did you enjoy the wine?"

[Ardas]

"Well, why woud I lie to you my lord? I have nothing to hide. Apart from the few coins form the faithful, I got nothingg, save for that robe. I am at loss to explain why am I of such interest to this "Terry". And the wine is fine, thank you."

Bizzare fellow, thought Gavin. He took another sip.

[filiusenox]

Dining Room:
William leaned back in his chair.
"Would you believe the ingredients in the wine are imported all the way from Shola? Lot's of bad stuff went into that. In fact most of them are tasteless, scentless and can kill a man dead. It's called Eitur Vín, in the Northlandic Tongue."

[Skyrunner]

Eurika did a tiny jump in her chair and looked down at her glass.

"...Oh. Uh... good thing I didn't drink it?"

She set it down.

[Ardas]

What was this man babbling about? If it was poison then he would have been dead already. Unless he is talking about some sort of medicine.

"And may I ask you what is that "Vin" stuff? A medicine of some sort?"

[filiusenox]

Dining Room:
William pulled a small vial from his coat and made it glisten in the light of the lamps.
"It's a slow acting poison...Eitur Vín means Poison Wine in Northlandic. Now I want the truth...all of it... "

[Taricus]

"Well, I guess refusing that offer was a smart move on my part, wasn't it Will?"

Laythe strode into the room, with a smug look on her face, taking a seat at the middle of the table.

[filiusenox]

"Probably was, Lay. But if I were to kill you, it wouldn't be with something as underhanded as poison. I have more respect for you then that... "

[Ardas]

.... This was insane! Truth? what use was truth if he was destined to die either way? maybe it wasn't so bad? it was just two mere sips....

"You... you bastard! You want truth? My name is Gavin Aurelius and I am a wandering no one, a trickster, a healer, priest or a farseer, all for a pence! I come from nowhere and I am going to nowhere!
And I am sick and tired of this place. Do you really beat up every newcomer and threaten them with death? And since i'm already dead, at least I can call you a bastard. Its not Like it matters anyway."

He slumped in his chair

[Taricus]

"Fair enough. Of course, we do have a more pressing issue: A replacement guard captain, to discuss."

Laythe's smile dissappeared soon, though she payed little attention to the distressed preacher...

[filiusenox]

Dining room:
William's face is one of surprise.
"Why do you say your dead? I was merely commenting on how too much wine can kill a man. Especially Sholan Spiced Wine. It has bit of herbs in it to make it extra tasty. You really don't notice it at first."

[Skyrunner]

Eurika patted Gavin on the back.

"Poor preacher. Nowhere to go. All that's left is the embrace of dea-"

She looked at William.

"...Eh?"
