You awaken on a shore line after days of drifting.  You have nothing but the clothes on your back.  Looking up, you see a lush jungle envrionment, and a wayward sheep staring at you from across the bay.

I'm going to be using the isabella texture pack, which has a very nice dark look to it in my opinion, and will be playing on hardcore mode.  That means unchangeable difficulty set to hard, and permenant death.  For those not familiar with minecraft, the goal is to have shelter from the night when monsters spawn, and to basically keep alive and survive.

Harvest some of the smaller trees, then start making a treehouse in the tallest tree you can find.

You manage to wrestle a tree into submission with your bare hands, obtaining some logs.

You also think that you could dig a hole in the ground to sleep in, and those sheep have awful comfy looking wool...

After brutally beating some sheep to death with a log, and subsequently sheering them with your bare hands, you have what you assume is enough wool to make a bed.  It looks like all of the sheep hunting has brought you into a little grove.

I'm thinking about using Balkon's weapon mod, I'm not totally sure just yet.  I'm also going to use a mapping program to make the forum game layout easier.

Great.  Now you're stuck in a hole.  Why would you do a silly thing like that?

Build your way back out of the hole, make the logs into planks, make a crafting bench, make a wooden pickaxe, find a hillside, make a hidey-hole, move your stuff in there, make a door and bed and place them both, and try to find some coal and make some stone tools. The coal is optional, but at least make a furnace to make charcoal with.

You manage to craft a nice solid space to work upon.

And then to create a rock smashing device.  It doesn't look very durable, but it gets the job done, and you manage to carve out a little hole in a small hill side.

Now we have a little bit of shelter!  It's a good thing that we got this made before nightfall;  that's when predators come out.  You hope that all of those 'survival experts' on the Discovery Channel knew what they were talking about.
