I never cared for the idea of cloning in the event of death. When your dead, your dead. Just because there is an identical copy of you does not mean you are alive. I don't care if he thinks like me, acts like me, and has the same memories as me. The ultravalican spawned by some twisted science voodoo magic, will never be the ultravalican that developed in his mother womb. A handsome S.O.B clone will NEVER be a true replacement of an individual, just a cheap inhumane copy.

Well... clones aren't copies. Clones are clones.

Twins are clones. Are you saying twins aren't people?

I should have specified - IDENTICAL twins are clones.

So my dad and uncle are clones. And if your sisters are identical, they are too, yes.

Twins are clones. Are you saying twins aren't people?
They aren't they are the souless spawns of the Ginger God
Twins don't have or are expected to have the same thoughts or feelings as an individual. Twins aren't replacements(outside of the occasional sitcom).
I would be fine with cloning as long as the clones were not expected to be replacements.
There can only be one....
Shit just got real, folks.
edit-I accidently the sentence.

Is that not a selfish view point to have UltraValican? Only that you matter? What about your clone? What about the people that love you and want you back as a clone? What about them?

But, not in that way.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

The major difference between a clone and a copy is clones aren't you, they just look like you to a certain extent. Copies ARE you. In every way.

in reply to the Ninjas: I would totally screw a copy of myself. Probably not a clone though. (clones would have to be younger than me)

I don't have a good enough body image to do that BUT LET'S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE

I too would not use the kill/recreate method of teleportation, because I don't think "I" would be seeing through those new eyes any more than I see through other people's right now.
