I'm still pretty newb at these features but I'd say that's a religious leader.

Hmm, I thought nobles like that were only in human towns.

He's a hammerdwarf, does he have enough kills to have earned a title?

that can't be a title.  It appears as a job, so it has to be either a custom profession name (but not if you're asking about it) or a position within the civilization.  Maybe a diety in dwarf form has emigrated?

Religious leader. If you play adventurer mode, you meet them in temples in towns. They have very strange names. I've not seen one visit in fortress mode though... interesting to find out if this is a mistake/bug or if he's genuinely immigrating to your fortress....

Time to start building a temple to Urist, Armok and Toady!

A Religious leader, huh? Never seen one before. What do they do?

Also, it is year 21. Only played one adventurer so far. Am I looking at the the dawn of religion?

I love all the additional stuff that's showing in migrant waves now, whether it's intentional or not. Kind of makes your fortress feel like part of the world.

Yea I can ssign labors and whatnot. I made her hammerer so as to be able to easily see mandates. But still, its the "Exalted Fern" thing that has me for a loop.

Religious leaders have bizarre titles, what can we say? Though the best one I ever encountered was when I was having a go at adventure mode a few days ago and had to kill a vampire called "Icar Sunplait". I thought the name was ironic enough, but he turned out to be a religious leader with the title "first garlic" :D

1. They've got beards. Even the women.
2. They're short. Especially the women.
3. They're Scottish.
