Keep in mind that bankrupting the morale stat isn't the only way to piss off your adventurer and get yourself killed. They can kill you at any time if you anger them enough; the killing prompted by emptying their morale is just a sure-fire way to do it.
Turn 3 - Lick of Doom(...) Bryan bursts into the inn in a huff and rushes to the adventurers' bedchambers!
"GUYS GUYS SOMEBODY STOLE THE WAGON"
"WHAT?!" Davkul jumps to his feet and runs outside, and the others follow behind him!
[-4 MP (ALL)]"Er... I mean... no... goddammit."
The wagon bounces along the uneven cobblestone street as it accelerates dangerously, tossing the passengers about the turbulent interior! The innkeeper curses incomprehensibly as he is thrown around on the piles of junk. Derek rolls out of the wagon and runs off somewhere.
(...) Raul crawls out from under Mr. Wiffles and grabs a large, heavy bag, dragging it behind the rear edge of the cart in a desperate attempt to slow it to a stop! The cart seems to slow a bit from the drag, but it's still going strong!
(...) Azatek, meanwhile, flips over the edge of the cart and drags his feet against the street! Unfortunately, he has placed himself in an indefensible position, and Mr. Wiffles takes the chance to perform a lick of opportunity!
Azatek is uppercutted by the dongrel's aggressively affectionate tongue and loses hold of the cart, falling beneath it!
(ATT) (DEF) Azatek rolls quickly to the side to avoid the spinning wheel of the cart, and expertly deflects all damage from the hard cobblestone! He stands up, dusting himself off.
Coratra yells down the street. "Azatek! What's happening, who took the cart?!" Davkul approaches, the other adventurers close behind.
Meanwhile, at the general store, Caddio haggles with the shopkeeper.
(...)"Er, well then. I guess I have my list ready now. I need a saddlebag, a ladle, some healing herbs, and a hippogryph paw. Do you know what hippogriph paws are used for, by the way?"
"Well, I'm no expert, but it sounds like a potion ingredient of some kind. I don't stock those, you'll need to head to the apothecary for that. It's further down main street, past the inn and grocery store."
"Alright, thanks. That'll be all then."
(ATT) Just then, Derek bursts into the shop! "Vial! I need a vial!"
The shopkeeper looks surprised, then looks back at the shelves behind the counter. "Er... I think we have a few, yes." Caddio gathers the merchandise, and ends up paying 53 shekels for the lot. The shopkeep seems pleased with the transaction.
"Quite a varied lot of gear there. You working with the Hero's Guild
TM? Been a while since they came through here, hearsay's they've got plenty of problems on the southern front."
