My Undead Army of Titans & Other Beasties
« on: March 15, 2012, 06:44:56 pm »

So I played adventure mode until I found a wonderous tome that taught me animate corpse.
Now I'm walking around with several titans (hill, mountain, swamp, and forest). I've also got a dragon and an ettin tagging along.
This is so badass...
But if I get any sentient species as companions they attack my necro army.
WHHYYY!!!!

Er, because you're walking around with a bunch of animated horrors? No living NPC will tolerate the dead except other Necromancers. All that power comes at a price.

Wait, are you saying that your adventurer was a historical figure with children that you recruited to be cannon fodder, which you then let be eaten by your ravenous undead hoard, or are you referring to your menagerie of undead horrors as "your children" and wondering why nobody else loves a giant fire-breathing zombie crab?  I find it best to clarify these things when talking to DF players.

Made me chuckle. Nothing makes me chuckle. You receive a Vulcan award. Which means nothing for petty medals do not compare to the sense of honor and duty that inhabits serving correctly within society. Anyway, I was speaking of my little darling children. My minions...

WHY DO YOU NOT LOVE MY HILL TITAN?

They are unworthy of their greatness. ALL sentient species are. If they do not give your children the love they deserve, THEY MUST BE ELIMINATED.

More so that undead hate all life.
So they will go hostile when seeing anything living.
Necromancers. other zombies, vampires are safe to tag along due to being part undead and not living. I think elves/goblins count to this list due to being either immortal and or evil.
if you remove the hate all living tag in the secrets for raising the dead maybe you might get normal undead non hostile zombie minions when walking into towns.

My god you actually managed to acquire a tome? TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!
I was sent to kill an outlaw from a hamlet. Said outlaw was infact a young necromancer carrying a slab with Life & Death on it.
I butchered him and a few zombie goblins. I read the book. I raised my army of Titans and butchered so much it became unfun.
Which is hard to believe considering how butchery is so fun.
