I charged someone and their clothes came off!
« on: March 15, 2012, 01:29:01 pm »

I dont know why, I dont know how. certainly pretty cool though.
this is what happened:

you charge at the planter
the planter then loses hold of everything he/she was carrying
you slash the planter in the lower body with your bronze two handed sword and the severed part sails off in an arc.

Any idea what this could be?

The game got the order wrong. It meant to say that you cut them in half and they then proceeded to lose hold of all the clothing on their lower body. If you cut off someone's hand you'll see the same thing, except with a single glove.

carrying != wearing

But yeah, sometimes sparring dwarves in fortress mode will tear each otherīs clothes off, too.

Indeed. Some guys are smexy, and I'm a rather straight guy.

I dunno about dwarves though. Manly as they are, they lack in the hygiene department.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

With some people, that really isn't too off-base.

Incidentally, I love the tooth explosions in the new version. It's like your enemy is a slot machine and hitting them in the mouth is like getting 3 sevens in a row.
