Anydwarf not particularly skilled (Read: Talented or higher) in a useful profession either gets drafted into a fresh 10-dwarf squad and put on permanent duty or becomes a member of the prestigious Hauler Corps. (TM)

Hey, at least I give my dwarves SOME armor. It helps them hold up the goblins longer before they get their skulls smashed in while my veterans do the real work.
