Forgotten Beast fail

A forgotten beast showed up, and my heart skipped a beat. I unpaused ( I was nervous because of the fact that it had deadly blood, i was assuming some syndromes of sorts) and then it left the map. I found this amusing.
Will it come back?

It is still there it is just in a part of the caves you can't see. time for some ‼Exploration‼.

Yeah I had a similar situation, forgot about it when it disappeared and the next thing I knew I was getting death notifications as it tore it's way through my magma forges (they were near the entrance I'd made to the underground)

Follow it on the others screen. It didn't left, it just disappeared.

Or it might have randomly died anticlimatically if it was made of gas or liquid. In case, always check your others/deceased screen. FB's can and will ruin your fort if unprepared.

I think it will be no challenge to my military, but you can never be to sure. Mainly scared of the fact that it 'had deadly blood!'. Syndromes?

The effects on the blood might be as harmful as blisters all over that heal in a few days. Or it might cause full-body necrosis and kill everything in a few seconds. You'll only know when someone or something is affected by it.

Being splashed with blood would do the trick, or walking barefoot on puddles of it. Also, isn't the new version updated as well, so that poisonous blood effect would transmit to meat gained from the creature when butchered? I recall reading something about that.
