Modding in a corpseworking workshop?
« on: March 14, 2012, 08:51:39 am »

I have been having minor issues with corpses being turned into zombies, and, in the course of trying to think up possible solutions to the problem, I hit upon the idea of a corpseworking workshop. Simply put, a dwarf with corpseworking turned on will automatically- in the same way that tanning hides is automatic- grab the nearest corpse, take it to the workshop, and turn it into a completely useless but unraisable object that can then be atomsmashed. Or he could turn it into a useful chair or something like that. Is this possible?

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Pretty sure I've read that corpses aren't valid targets for custom reactions, so I don't think this is possible.  I haven't tried it personally though, so I might just be misremembering.

I'm not sure if it works but in theory CORPSE:NONE:NONE:NONE should work.
