The clerk appeared shocked. His voice echoed his feeling. It wasn't nice to jump at conclusions.

>Promptly give him my apologies and thanks.

>Rush out the way I came, and aim to get back at the jeep and warn those who are present there.

>When at the entrance and about to go out of the store, change stance and movement pattern to look like a man that really needs to be somewhere -for a different need.  :P

You make your way back to the jeep in the calmest but quickest way you can. Only Maldevious and Drago are still around when you get there. You relate your meeting with the shop owner to them in hushed tones, and emphasize the importance of finding everyone else before they get disappeared.

Get angry, throw a tantrum.

Drill through the barriers of social awkwardness and pierce the heavens strike a conversation with a passerby

Ask the passerby some questions about the place, points of interest, while keeping my voice at a SHOUTING level.

Enraged about your general ineptness in social situations you let out a blood thirsty roar and grab the nearest pedestrian, a young woman, by the shoulders and scream "I NEED SOME QUESTIONS ANSWERED!" Everyone is now looking at you and the woman is attempting to cower despite being held. Oh dear.

"wh...what do you need?" She stammers.

You smile widely, and in a way that doesn't make you look like an axe murderer...you hope.

"HI, YEAH, HI. KINDA NEW HERE, JUST DROVE IN." You pointlessly pantomime driving, while continuing to shout "NEED SOME GENERAL INFORMATION ON THIS PLACE. BIT'A HISTORY, MAYBE SOME SIGHTS TO SEE. ME AND THE WIFE ARE THINK'N ABOUT SPENDING A WEEK HERE, DON'T YA KNOW, AND WE'RE JUST NOT SURE WHAT TO DO!"

The woman appears to be trying to vanish into her own dress.

"Well, if you think you have a better chance of finding them, I'll stay."

I'm going to be away from the computer for about a week, need to go on Auto. If it's decided that I am the best option, I'll go look for the other players. If not, I'll stick to defending the jeep and looking for food/water.

Gonna assume you don't mean Yoink, since he is right there.

You calmly make your way out of the shop, whistling nonchalantly with your robe full of stolen goods. You decide that it's better to give these things to someone else, since holding them is a bit of a hassle. You make your way back the way you came and arrive back at the jeep. Maldevious, Drago and Tiruin are already there. You dump your ill gotten gains into the jeep.

Any specific kind of shop you'd like to look for? Just the first one you find or one that sells a particular type of merchandise? One that looks quite swanky or any of them?

>Smile happily, say "Well, at least Hell isn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, then. I expected more pitchforks and lemons!" give the clerk a big hug and then go explore this strange Hellish plane. Keep an eye out for demons, though; we're on their home turf now...

Continue to askinterrogate. Be a fool while doing that.

Go back to the jeep.

Offer to guard it (Auto: On)

"IN-FOR-MA-TION. INFORMATION. WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR EXPORT. WHO RULES YOU. WHAT COLOR AM I THINKING OF RIGHT NOW. FASTER!"

"uh...metal for the Forgotten sons, the Forgotten sons and... uhhh... Blue?

"WRONG! LIGHTNING ROUND! WHATS GOES ON IN THE FIRST, SECOND AND THIRD CIRCLE. WHAT ABOUT THOSE HOUSES ON THE CLIFF? AND HOWABOUT BEYOND THAT CRAZY SMOKE DEEPER IN THAT PIT EH? EH?"

She's tripping over her words as she tries to blurt out a response. "First is where the forgotten sons live and seconds the business district and uh uh third is where the uh more wealthy live and the tenement wall is for most of the rest. Under the smoke is the mine and the shanty towns and uh...well the mine.

"THANKS BUTTERCUP!"

You turn on your heel and bit a hasty retreat, wondering exactly what just came over you.  You wander back to the jeep and shout "Hey would anyone like to guard the jeep. I SURE WOULD!" before laying down across the back seat.

>Smile happily, say "Well, at least Hell isn't quite as bad as I thought it would be, then. I expected more pitchforks and lemons!" give the clerk a big hug and then go explore this strange Hellish plane. Keep an eye out for demons, though; we're on their home turf now...

You hug the nice man and walk outside. You wander aimlessly, looking for demons and becoming more and more perplexed when you find none. Eventually you find an alleyway off the main street and wander in, looking for some sort of demon nest. After rooting around in some garbage and chatting up a stray cat you turn to leave. Standing in the path is a man in an immaculate red uniform and cap. He has a pistol holstered at his side and is holding what looks like an expendable baton with a cord extending from it's handle and up into his sleeve.

"You're going to have to come with me." He says pointing the baton at you.

Look for a store with things that you would expect in a mad science lab, or an inventors shop!
