Well, aren't you glad I brought a spare. Just be glad you didn't run into my clusterfuck moment- have you ever tried flying into a pirate base to get recruited and then realize you don't know the safety signal? Yeah, that was me.

As for the minor lag (minor on my end, anyway), it's probably the effects of a drone piloted kamakazi fighter with (armed) fusion bombs. Those things cost money. Or it might be the engine trying to handle how fighters can fly through destroyers. And by fly I mean cut.

EDIT: Oh SH*T. Those timelords showed up. I can tell by the slowly expanding cloud of debris that was the homeworld. At least I got most of the civilians out. That's it- fleet, fall back, pick up refugees, and go to the meeting point. In a spread-out manner. Also, I'm arming the fusion-fusion-fusion bomb in the middle of the system now. Run.

I would leave the room now if I were you, very carefully and quietly. You don't want my depressed soldiers getting annoyed at you. I'm sending you a map of the ship now. Just ask the nearest crew member when in doubt. Also, three minutes to detonation.

Uhhh... Could you beam my ship aboard as well? Ion drives have pretty low acceleration rates, and seeing as I was head towards the inner system when you gave me the warning, and, well, yeah, I won't be able to reverse course and achieve a high enough speed to get to a jump point before the bomb detonates.

The scrap processing facilities are on deck W (waste reclamation of all sorts). I'll send you a map. Sorry- I though Leo was you for a sec- he was looking for the mess hall. ((I though you were Leo when I responded at first.))

Leo, as for you, I've been kind enough to give you a light freighter with actual engines and a small weapons battery. It should be an upgrade from the newb ship. Feel free to take off anytime- I've already transferred your cargo. Unless you want employment in the Doomy Blades. Pay starts at 3 pinecones an hour for garbage shovelers.

Well, I have the carnage casualty report for the battle:

Space-Snail Huggers-
16 fleets destroyed (9 in combat, 7 in bomb blast)

The Doomy Blades-
3 Fleets destroyed in combat
247 boarders dead (but two fleets worth desroyed/sabatoged!)
Inhabited Planets- all in system lost (7, including home world. Damn timelords, forcing me to set off the bomb to cover my retreat), 5 not in-system.
Civilians- 3 worlds worth, 1/6 homeworld. Thank god for evacuation teleporters.

I'll make them pay for it. Give me time.
