How can you not keep him? He's vampire nobility, he's above those lesser dwarves, they deserve to be his food.

I "experimented" with him in a copy save.
After going in the magma, he become a ghost only after an entire year after his death and just like any other vampire he couldn't be memorialized on a slab.

Strangely his ghost never leaves the magma sea...

Some ghosts are relatively benign and only linger around the area where they died.

play it as a challenge, i mean its the ultimate one, you have to support a king who will slowly be draining your population!

I generated a world with a vampire ruling one of the kingdoms too, I was wondering what...complications...that could present for playing as that Civ.

A shame that you can't keep him there when abandoning a settlement... That would be quite phenomenal; imagine how that would play out in adventure mode.  Delve into the ancient ruins of a long-dead Dwarven city, and in the empty, cobweb-infested tunnels you find grand set of doors that are barred from the outside.   The hapless adventure opens them to find within the ancient, insane Vampire-King of the dwarven kingdom, sitting upon his throne.

Other monsters crowded around me, continually attacking.  I treated them politely, offering the edge of my razor-sharp sword; but the feast, I think, did not please them.
