So, I was checking on a miner with a broken arm that was lying in a hospital recovering from an giant olm incident. Then I accidentally (v)iewed a nearby dwarf and discovered that every of her body part is wounded in yellow, except the upper body which is fine and throat, both eyes and both eyelids which are dark yellow/brown.

No battle reports, no scars, no injuries or medical history, nothing about her preference about working outdoors (i thought it may be a sunburn from cave adaptation). First I thought vampire and sun exposure, but she's happily drinking a barrel of alcohol.

Any ideas what might have caused that?

You very recently got a migrant wave. That dwarf was part of said migrant wave. For unknown reasons, believed to be related to injuries in world generation, occasionally a dwarf will show up that is wounded as you describe. They'll heal right around when they first need to sleep and all of those injuries will disappear. It's probably a bug of some sort, though as they do heal it's a pretty benign one.

Alternatively, and less likely, you've fought a forgotten beast, titan, or other syndrome-causing creature or have evil rains or fogs that cause injuries like that. Probably not, though, or you wouldn't have had to ask.

Back in one of my 31.25 games, the Queen had injuries like this when she came.

No nasty forgotten beast or weather syndromes. I had no uninvited guests yet, and am not on an evil biome.

Hmm... She's amazingly quick to heal, but hasn't healed yet. It's been half a year since then. The injuries won't heal, although they behave strangely, as if they're not there at all... I'll check her in the legends after my fort is done for.

In 0.31 I think I got a human diplomat with every single of his body parts yellow in the same manner and a missing cheek
