Incredible region for newbie and !!science!!
« on: March 12, 2012, 05:12:53 pm »

I got a really nice embark at a surface volcano that can be easily channeled to make magma protected entrance and a HUGE plateau. This is quite a nice map overall.

I will pack the save as a zip file, I just need to know where I could upload it.... Anybody got a nice web site for that? Does the Wiki has a page for that?

Or use DFHack to prospect it...

That would be too easy.

Here it is, enjoy and give feedback about that embark. You will need to abandon the fortress and reclaim this 4*5 region with your desired embark profile.

Thanks for posting this.  I have been looking for a surface volcano recently.

The last world I genned had a completely flat plains area, then right in the middle, a sudden rise that went up 63 z levels.  That was the volcano!

It was interesting to say the least.  A ready made magma tower.
