Yah.  One week per turn was a bit of a slog when one week turned into two months, and "wut? I forgot all about this..."
One of the better methods was to do your turn and post the save first, then what happened after the save file was up.  One week MAXIMUM per turn: you go over and the previous week's save is used instead.

That would have to be strictly enforced, though.

I might start a new museum game in the new version, but not right after it is released.
One of the main problems of the second museum game was that the world I generated for it was an early-post-release world and was buggy as hell.
It's better to wait for a few months after the release to make sure that everything is stable.

I remember, Braalbard.  And we only figured that out after I'd made that 3d walkthrough of the new Museum in all its echoing glory.

Also, I guess it's safe to say Gnorm and Kesperan are not going to submit their stories, if people want to try and uncover their stories by using legends mode, then feel free to do so.

Museum I only had two or three lines of code changed that made it possible for dwarves and goblins to build (human) villages and towns. (In vanilla both races would'nt otherwise have had anything to be visited in 34.11)

If needed to fix something, similar small changes that would require no mods installed on the players end could be done. If not needed I'd rather keep it unmodded, that way we would not have to deal with incompatibilities, possible bugs or updates in those mods etc. Furthermore, not everyone likes the same mods.

Also, pikachu, I've recently updated the first post with links to the -short- adventures you had almost a year ago. Would you happen to have that save game lying around? If so your adventurers can be part of the official history if other players decide to pick this back up..

There's still a couple of bugs that might make adventuring difficult atm. Waiting for Toady to iron them out might be better.

Also if I read Toady's last post correctly he will soon start working on the next major version, so bugfixing will stop soon.

In other words, it's time to get this started!
I propose going for roughly the same rules as the last two games, but I'm open to suggestions as well.
I'll see if I can generate some interesting worlds this week to chose from for the upcoming game.
Then there's also the matter of where the museum will be located, there are probably three major options.

1: In a major world-gen keep, temple, mead hall or fortress. this worked quite well in the first game, and now many structures seem to come with pedestals installed for our convenience. Structures in human towns are probably the most convenient for now.
2: In a player build (fortress mode) site, like in the second game. In the past player sites had some stability issues due to massive amounts of visitors, bugs etc. Are they stable enough now? 
3: An adventure site. I personally have little experience with these, but this would have the advantage of adventurers being able to add to the site. Probably needs some testing.
