I misread that it was on steam and found Civilization V at sale

I've never bought from Amazon.  Would this affect how one can play multiplayer with steam users?

I mean, is there any caveat?

Also, would there be an interest in a Bay12 League? We would probably play one of the english lower leagues to ensure there would be enough space.
