It seems people want a lovecraftian game not a western. I mean it got 8 votes and you seem to be the only one defending a western, King.

He called it a western in his first post!  I left off HOW the world got barren, who says that wasn't like some deep (space) ones.
I did indeed say Western in the fisr post but I didn't mean that kind of western. I meant more the vibe of the western town and hoe the decor and culture was for the most prt western mixed with steampunk. Nothing about deserts and bandits.

Lovecraftian themes are more prevalent in the forums rather than western. And I'd rather have a Western Steampunk than a Lovecraftian Steampunk (Since Lovecraft is done ALL of the time.)

Why can't we just have both?

Sorry I misread. But yeah. That's how I imagined. Mostly rust and pistols with things kind of scrapped together, not really techy, despite being in space and all.

Nah, most people want the orignal so why bother. Also the former security force has taken over the top deck and they have some tech left, not a whole lot.

Western Lovecraft... I don't see why we can't mix the two.  You know, make something (slightly) unique.  Like a western themed steampunk ship that has lovecraftian horrors crawling around.

Also, sort of planned on having the game start when shit starts getting weird, so that the players could witness and be a part of the ships decent into madness, and the chaos within.

So it's sand and cactuses, in space on a rusty steamy ship, filled with cthulhu monsters, and madness preaching kumquats? Really? And you are confident that it won't fall apart?

I mean I'll play either way. I'm all for the wild settings. I just don't want the setting to become cumbersome.

Not the point.

What do you mean? Elaborate. The point isn't to make it not cumbersome? I don't understand.

Also, Not.The.sand.and.catcus.kind.of.western. I have been trying to get this point across for a while, the ship was desgined to look steampunk with a bit of wild west town thrown in. Not the howdy pardner leta kill some monsters in the plains hyuck hyuck kind of western.
