Jack sees him groping around his belt for ammunition, yet finding none. It doesn't seem that he's in immediate danger, so it is a bit odd...

Robert looks at the creature while saying "Did I kill it?"

Jack has no idea what Robert is looking at, or why he's talking to himself, but it's kind of strange.

Jack does, however, see a broken section of stair railing, along with a wall riddled with scarlet bullet holes behind it.

The thing was not dead, but it did fall down the massive stairwell. Robert simply has the image burned onto his retinas temporarily from all of the gun flashes.

"I have no god-damned idea what you're talking about" Jack yells back "So, either figure it out or get the fuck up here" Jacks hands go to his belt and he opens his satchel, checking to see what tools he has. "Oh damn" He mutters "Left the welder in the crawlspace"

Perhaps it was that thing with the horrific noise; just recalling that noise to the concious mind makes him uneasy.

Robert is pulled into the safe room. While steadying himself on the wall he says "That was pretty....fucked up."
