Something bumps against the window, allowing a brief moment of clarity towards the floating things.  A human face fills the glass;  suddenly, a realization is made, those are people floating around out there.  Dead people, blue from oxeygen deprivation, some with ruptured eyes and faces, floating away from various points of the ship. Why are there so god damned many? It looks like half of the population is floating around out there! 

The real question, however, is was this voluntary, or were they thrown off?

"Wha'? How did? Why are they...?" Fahim stuttered out. Fahim began to panic, and turned to the group "What do we do?!"

The Suddenly sways, knocking people to the ground, and a grinding sound can be heard far below.  That must have been the gyroscope stabalizer being messed with.  Something strong enough to be able to sway a ship with  a stabalizer of this class has to be huge.

"Oh, fuck. I just tuned the damned gravity" Jack says, taking another look at the map. "Whatevers going on, it aint good"

Fahim topples over, tears forming in his eyes. "We-we-we need to get to a lift. I need to get to my family." Fahim stands up and attempts tomake his way to the nearest lift, his journey made significantly more difficult with the odd gravity and the objects toppling out of stores opened doors and large archways.

Description: Nathan is an amateur historian, specializing in the occult and various obscure beliefs. He's always been a bit 'out there', tending to seem strange and eccentric to those around him. He spends most of his time in the ship's archives, and has over time become the ships' de-facto, if not official, librarian. If there's a specific work you're looking for in the archives, chances are that Nate can find it for you.

The dinging sound comes from the nearest lift, signifying that the car is on the current floor.  As it came up, a scraping sound was heard since it did have to travel up a slope that consisted of rough wood.  It's amazing that the car made it even this far without destroying itself.

The doors slide open, and the body of a man topples out.  His forehead is caved in, like somebody took a rock to it.

Jack spins away from the body, averting his eyes. "Oh mother of god" He stands with his back to the body for a few seconds then his stomach heaves and vomit splatters the ground. "We need to get out of here" Jack checks his map for the quickest route to the escape shuttles.

The map show that one of the quickest routes is, of course, using the lift to go straight down to the emergency escape deck.  The lift still looks operable, but possibly unstable.  The only other safe route is going down the maintenence stairs, barring sliding down the ventilation shafts to god-knows-where.

Nathan struggles to get up, half buried in books, and disoriented by the sudden shift in gravity.

"The hell just happened?"

Nathan hears the lift grinding upwards, stopping on the next floor, and something thumping the floor directly after.

The shift in gravity knocks over a stack of books that was blocking the view of one of the portholes.

Nathan manages to pull himself out of the stack of books, and struggles to get over to the porthole.
