Before he enters Robert turns to Jack and says " Don't follow me into the waiting room, I need you to calm him down and hold the fort if I die and he runs to get hrlp, got it?"

Rabbit in the exam room was a rabbit no longer, but a husk.  What looked like little more than a complete rabbit skin was laying on the floor, and slightly fresher black streaks ran around the room and into some ventilation ducts.  The metal of the duct is stained black.

Name: The Overseer
Gender: Male


The Overseer is the Overseer, no questions asked.  He is essentially the all

around administrator and orchestrator of the U.S.S. Isabella, and nothing

escapes his sight.  The Overseer knows all that happens on the ship, and

happens to know that something strange has been sighted off of the starboard

bow.  What the people of the ship know, however, is that the Market is doing

well, children are playing, and a small commotion in a vetrinary clinic is

nothing out of the ordinary.  Well, what they think they know.

In times of emergency, Overseers have been known to appear by the sides of

the people under their dominion.  This Overseer, in fact, is just now

noticing the commotion in the Vetrinary Clinic, and is, in fact, just now

looking inside of the clinic.

The only way that the Overseer is distuinguishable from anybody else on the

ship is the large star shaped patch that is worn on the breast of his

jacket.  It's this star that has so many different details that it is

impossible to counterfeit.  However, when the Overseer is noticed, he is

given the utmost respect.  Or else.  In fact, one of the popular ghost

stories on the ship involves this mythical man called the Overseer, who

comes to take children away in their sleep if they misbehave.  Simple

maiden's tales to parents and children; an elaborate brain washing scheme to

the Overseer.

((mcclay, remember that this isn't going to be completley canon to the Lovecraft universe.  I was just going for a combination of surreal+body horror, with crazy lovecraft stuff in mind.))

Jack steps back from the door, putting an arm around Fahim's shoulders and leading her away from the door. He keeps a firm grip on his wrench though.

"I-I think it got out. Or most of it anyway." Fahim looked at the animals skin and the red and black stans all over the walls and leading to the air duct and begins to heave.

The vomit spreads across the floor rapidly.

It's not like it was getting any cleaner.

Fahim wipes his mouth with his sleeve and notices the wrench as he returns to his full height. "Are you an engineer? Do you know where that duct leads? Or are you some kind of mechanic or something?"

"Let me check" Jack grabs a map of the ducts from his pocket, spreading it out to nearly 6 feet wide. "Now let me see..."

The ducts lead down, towards the bottom of the ship.  They pass through nearly every single deck of the ship, twisting and turning, a metal maze simply used to recycle air and heat the ship.  There's no catching that thing right now.

Outside of the vetrinary clinic, an eerie silence pervades the air.  Normally at this time there should be plenty of people strolling about the upper decks, taking their pets for walks, and enjoying the artificial sun light.  Where could everybody have gone?

Consulting the map, the vetrinary clinic is on the 1st deck of the ship, commercial partition, just below topside.  This is one of the more popular decks on account of the very homey earth feel; what with the pseudo brick and mortar buildings and art. sun.

Robert made a mental note to find that thing before heading out. He looked around and then looked at the oters before saying " where the fuck is everyone?"

"No idea. These ducts lead everywhere, were not gonna find that thing like this"

[Gotdamnmiracle]

"What the hell? This place was bustling a few minutes ago. What happened?" Fahim walks out of the clinic and into the plaza, looking around the whole time. "Where'd everyone go?!" Fahim yells back to the others.

No luck.  It's a fucking ghost town up here. Out of the near portholes, something can be seen.  Then something else.  Then somthing else.  Whatever is out there, there's more than one.

"What the hell. I've never seen this place so empty."

Fahim quits yelling and walks over to one of the portholes, mystified.
