great... *sigh*

Oh well, humans brought me a whip, so that's fun...

How good are obsidian swords now? Last time I checked they were on par with steel, but times have most definatly changed...

Recent reading on obsidian swords has led me to believe that they are seriously not worth the material investment.

Also, to quote the wiki, "...these are good at first to defend your fort from early wolf and giant eagle attacks, but weak in comparison to any metal, having difficulty cutting even mundane animal hides."

You'd think they'd be more desirable... Same with silver sionce they both can hold a rediculously sharp edge. Maybe to represent that they kinda wear down quickly is why they aren't great...

I'm a big fan of obsidian IRL.

Fun fact: obsidian can be fractured to an edge one molecule thick, while surgical steel can only be sharpened down to four molecules thick.
